Bellevue won 35-10 last year and leads the overall series 24-12-1.
Jalen Santoro makes his first trip back to his alma mater since leaving to take on the role of Pirates head coach.

This game will be on both 96.1 WKFM and 100.9 WMJK The streaming option is the BCSN app, www.bcsnapp.com/watch To watch it you either have to be a Buckeye Broadband customer or pay a one time $11.99 streaming ticket. Bellevue's first 2 games had multiple free streaming options available, though I'm guessing BCSN doesn't allow any free streaming operations to take place at a game they are covering.

If Bellevue's QB gets hurt, they've got problems.
Also, the Pirates played a better game than I thought they would.

Did Nasonti’s custom made T-shirts make an appearance in the post game? Can anyone verify?

Hearing Perkins hung tight early from some sign stealing in first half then Bellevue made adjustments. Perkins had to know what was coming all second half on ground and couldn’t stop it. Irony. That’s LOL.

Props to Jalen for having his players pumped up for the game last night they came out definitely more energized than the Redmen did which thankfully they woke up mid second quarter or late first half.
Not sure about these custom made T-shirts that’s been mentioned and would love for someone to drop me a private message to let me know what it’s all about and if true. but there is no room in my book for two Bellevue guys to have any issues with each other especially one with so many wins as a head coach and another who led the Hall of Fame coach to a state championship game. BOTH these coaches have meant a lot to Bellevue and I’d love to see Jalen one day stroll the Redmen sidelines as HC.
I’ve said it before I hope Jalen, while at Perkins wins every game on their regular season schedule but one.

Also heard that Coach Santoro was on the field hugging and shaking hands with the Bellevue players before the clock even hit zero. Seems really odd if that is true. I honestly don’t know if Jalen hugged players at the end of the game as I left with 3mins left. Would it surprise me, not really as he coached those kids at the JV level. Just staying classy

That staff is far from classy and he leads the way. Each of their character is well documented and dates back to the high school days. The cracks are already starting to show in the 44870.

Also heard that Coach Santoro was on the field hugging and shaking hands with the Bellevue players before the clock even hit zero. Seems really odd if that is true. Fwiw, on the radio it sounded like the clock never actually hit zero, or at least that there was never a final kneel down after a scuffle that stoped the clock in the final minute. The final 3 minutes were annoying to listen to. Neither team had any timeouts left, and Bellevue kept going with the QB runs running the clock down. The officials apparently decided this was an excellent time to start calling penalties on every play to keep stopping the clock and dragging things out as much as possible. After 2 or 3 straight downfield holding calls on Bellevue the next play had both a live and dead ball foul on Perkins, which were both marked off for a total of 30 yards giving Bellevue the ball inside the 20 with a minute left. Bellevue took a knee, then some sort of scuffle occurred that caused a bunch of coaches and players from the sidelines to enter the field. The announcers were saying the officials were trying to clear the field for the final kneeldown, but then apparently just declared the game over.

watching the bcsn broadcast of the final minute.. perkins hit with a block below the waste and a dead ball personal foul late hit on the QB ,, bellevue then snaps and takes a knee..don't know what kinda chirping went on but perkins didnt like it..nothing big..every day football.... yes 36 seconds to go perkins coach out on the field obviously no further play needed.... not a problem with it in my book...

That’s LOL. Sign stealing at the high school level? Who the heck cares! These aren't NFL or Division 1 football programs where that could make an impact. At the high school level, we had coaches that told us we should TELL the defense where we are going to run the ball and challenge them to stop it! Perkins could have stole every signal thru-out the game and it wouldn't have mattered, they still had to line up and execute. This game came down to pure weight room strength and smash mouth football, which Bellevue has a history of being very good at both.
