To start off yes, and the higher seeds will be the top line at their starting place in the bracket.
However, after that the home team is determined by top line on the bracket, not seed. So if #8 beats #1 and moves on to face #4, they will be the home team against that #4 team. And this year it will be actual home field advantage, not just determining which side you get assigned at a neutral field.

Otsego, Liberty Benton, Ottawa Glandorf and Eastwood will be in the regional semi's.
I'll go O-G over Otsego to win the region.

Good writeup, obviously focusing on Elyria Catholic. I would argue LB's SOS - they play in the BVC and are way larger than any other school. I will say the LCC win was solid though. Nonetheless, this region isn't as loaded as it has been in some years.
Also, it's too bad about the Parks kid.

I believe LB's win over LCC was a little tainted. Quite a bit of Thunderbird players were missing.

The higher seeded team will get to host at least through the regional semis and possibly the regional finals as well. That means a team with a bye would potentially get at least three home games. www.ohsaa.org/news-media/articles/ohsaa-adjusts-season-if-football-is-approved-by-governor160

The initial press releases still had the "team on top of the bracket" language that was in force for determining neutral site home teams prior to this year, but have since been updated to higher seed. Here's an example from 9-21 that still had the old language: putnamsentinel.com/Content/Social/Social/Article/OHSAA-announces-new-football-regions-and-playoff-information/-2/-2/30827I'm glad that they went to the more common sense option of higher seed, now that we're dealing with actual home field.

oak harbor should beat chippewa and then face elyria catholic.elyria catholic got drilled by parma valley forge 55-21.valley forge used the wing t to rush for 555 yards against elyria catholic using 7 running backs.one had 240 yards rushing another had 167 yards rushing and they tried to pass only 2 times.so with this result,i hope that oak harbor when they play and beat chippewa can feel good going into elyria catholic in a couple of weeks
