I think if anything has shown us the truth, its these tests are not 100% accurate. What boggles my mind is people have become so scared of the data that isn't even entirely accurate and are not longer thinking logically.
This virus has proven that if you have underlying health issues, you are at a substantially higher risk to have serious symptoms. When this whole thing is done and over with, I am interested in seeing the data and just how many people have died solely because of Covid and due to Covid and an underlying health issue.
This may sound heartless, but the fact that we as citizens and a nations allowed this virus to control and flip our lives and nation around is a joke. There are about 100 other things that are well within the governments control and power to help ease and eliminate that kills more Americans, than this virus ever could. My only question is why is this virus, at this time in our nation crippled and caused the government to take such drastic action... Do you really think they care about your health, when Cigarettes, booze, fast food, and many other things that are detrimental to our health are still happily sold.....
From day one the mandate should have been made that if you fear it stay inside. If you want to wear a mask go ahead. We live in an age where you can have almost no human interaction and still eat, drink, sleep, and go on with life. The government has crushed small business and ruined families livelihood, all in the name of "we care for your healthy and safety." I for one truly believe the term "life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness" is slowly dwindling to a meaningless concept.
I could understand certain sanctions if this virus killed 10-20% of people who got it, but has of today there are roughly 10.7 million cases and roughly 243,000 deaths, that's 2.27 percent of people.
To me the worst part of all of this is the fake news, misinformation, and the gullibility of citizens that are falling in line with all of this.

Being obese is the biggest risk with COVID along with age. Still a McDonald’s on every street corner. Number one cause of death in the US is cardiovascular disease (heart attacks and stokes). Number one contributor to that is tobacco. I worked with a cardiologist who said he had never cath’ed a person who hadn’t smoked. Banning tobacco would save countless more lives than quarantine saved people from COVID. Plus, how many lives has quarantine taken? People sitting at home with chest pain scared to go to the hospital. Delayed cancer screenings and treatment. Suicide and domestic violence. I’m a live and and let live guy too, but should society be responsible for your care if you’ve made countless bad choices? I’m not for banning tobacco or fast food, but don’t expect me to pay for your bad choices. Your point is well made, though. If the government wanted to be our parent there are things they could do that would save more lives than quarantine. Unfortunately we’ve done a really good job of teaching 1+1=2, but a horrible job teaching critical thinking. We were taught to be good little boys and girls and believe authority instead of thinking and considering the source. Then we all pick a side and only listen to the “authority” on that side and here we are.

I hope I taught my kids to think. Three are left of me and one right so they have come to their own conclusions. That’s why I still have hope.
