If I'm not mistaken, Willard has dropped to D3 this year. You would be correct. Willard loses a lot of seniors this year and a ton of multi year varsity players. it isn’t a reload year next year, it will be a “few” 😂😂 years of rebuilding.

Tough one but got to give them credit for playing tough. This team has the ability to get to a final four (IMO).

Not sure the Regional is set yet. I've been looking to see what Districts the NW would be.OHSAA hasn't posted it yet. OG looks good at D3 We can beat HL and Marg---imo

OG looks good at D3 We can beat HL and Marg---imo Our guard play has to be stronger than it was against Napoleon. Those guards play tough defense but they have to be getting 8-10 points each for the team to push through tough teams. They should have beat Napoleon. Another strong performance by the hall girl.

Just curious. I watched the game. What makes you think Willard should’ve beat Napoleon? It appeared to me Napoleon had the better all around team and they made the plays when they needed to be made. Willards big girl did a nice job but besides Hall, I wasn’t very impressed with Willard otherwise on the offensive end.

litebrite is correct. Flashes were not the better team. As far as TC saying Willard "should have won" I disagree. I would say we were in position to win, but didn't make the plays in the final 3 minutes,,,and Napoleon did. Just staying with Napoleon on the road the way we did should be seen as a positive though. Coming back from down 10 at half is another positive. Napoleon is a good team and might be the best D2 team in the NW Region once again, like they were last year. I'll say this our schedule will certainly make us tournament ready in D3.

I honestly thought either team could of won. We had a few too many unforced turnovers. D wasn’t what it normally is. Rotation good at times. We haven’t seen an offense with multiple staggered screens for shooters. Most teams is basic dribble drive or flex. And did not defend that well. I haven’t seen one hedge to help teammates through screens. No different than pick and rolls. Still not half way through season. Barry will have them tourney ready. That’s why you play teams like Napoleon. Keep rocking LFB⚡️🏀

We will see. Don’t like to be too cocky. But Flashes are a lot better team this year than last year. D is huge improvement and getting double digit scoring from multiple players.

The team last year was a little too one dimensional. This year, you have 5 girls that can give you double digit scoring on any given night and like you said, defense has gotten much better. Still thinking final 4.

Something to consider when it comes to a potential Willard vs. Africentric matchup is the Nubians have yet to start playing. Could it affect them when not together for a full season? What if Columbus city schools never play sports?

So amazed with these ladies!!! When one goes down. One always steps up. Well in this case they all stepped up. Yes Sowers lighting up the nets was a big help. Syvonsak off the bench hitting double digits. Both were very big in this win. But the Key to last nights win was Confidence and Patience. I’ve followed lady flashes for some time now and those 2 factors were an issue for the longest time. And I’m crediting a lot of that to Coach P! He’s not that coach that screams the entire game. They are able to focus. He has never argued a shot taken. And I could go on. It’s just the simple things. Our D is 🔥. Had a parent point out that we have top defenders at the guard position the small to power forward and in the paint. 💯. Had a discussion early in the week w Coach Haas and he was concerned w our big out it would be tough as Margaretta is small and scrappy and they all rebound well. But after last night he said it’s going to take a very very good team to beat us. And I couldn’t agree more. With that being said. Very good chance we will face them 2 more times. One for SBC out right title and in tourney. And I can guarantee they will not shoot as poorly as they did last night. They had many open opportunities but couldn’t connect. And in their house it will be different. Again nice win ladies. LFB⚡️🏀❤️

Africentric by 20 or more if they play, gigantic unfair recruiting advantage and OHSAA doesn’t care and never will care.

I've been trying to figure out if AFR will even be in our region or not. I could be mistaken, but I think changes every year where teams in the Central District get sent.
Meanwhile tonight 1/14/21 WHS 10-1 hosts BC 10-0 Sure would be nice if they could stream it live to the numerous fans who would have packed that gym otherwise.

But have to pay a monthly subscription fee. It’s like $11 per month.
