“We were a little disappointed the state gave (Columbian) 900 tickets and only gave us 400. We used that as motivation and ultimately we felt a little bit slighted as we've been No. 1 in the state all year and to give us the visitor locker room and visitor stands and they double up their ticket total ... so we used that all week as motivation.” That’s the Chardon coach. Dumb... This is coaching psychology 101. Perfect use by Hewitt

Dumb... Logically the higher seed gets home side and home locker room while both teams get the same number of tickets in a playoff/tournament situation. Press box, locker rooms and other relevant facilities are usually closer to the home side giving advantages. Using the “underdog” mentality while being the favorite is truly a Jordan move. Good for them, bad for TC High seed is normally not a factor in team state tournaments. Home teams are decided ahead of time by a rotation of regions playing each other in the final four. in this 2020 games tickets can be decided by the stands. What I wonder is if the seating capacity at 15% of Brunswick is 1500. Why did they only sell 1300 tickets?

Dumb... Not really, if you think about it, because of covid you can only sell a percentage of what the stands hold. They are absolutely not going to allow the fans bases to mix so if the home stands hold more people then the home team will get more tickets. This was NOT a coaching ploy. This was the consensus number one team in the state and they had every right to feel disrespected.

Two things TC can't allow; just happy to be there and bright light fever. I wished Uncle Jake was wrong. Are we just going to ignore the fact that maplecityjake quoted his own post and replied to it?

This was the consensus number one team in the state and they had every right to feel disrespected. And Columbian was the home team. So.... For what it’s worth, Columbian was given 1,028 tickets. As a generous act, Columbian gave Chardon 100 tickets because of the difference. Columbian then sold 889 of their 928 tickets.

lol Div 4 and region Clyde is in is WEAK Yet, the winner of the region is playing for the state title next weekend... And the team who beat Tiffin in the regular season was from this weak region. “SBC95” always seems to talk up Fremont (and now Willard)...and used to talk up Clyde now constantly bashes them whenever he can....do a search of his posts..

Also... Congrats to Tiffin on a solid season.
Chardon appears to have one of those special senior groups and great speed. Hope they beat Desales.

All SBC teams I comment on .. What’s the problem?? PC Tiffin Clyde Huron Edison Oak Harbor Margaretta Sandusky Perkins Gibsonburg Lakota Calvert as for Fremont I went to school there grades K -6 and the moved .As for Willard everyone wants them to Win .. We go to a lot of different games and yes you say LONG .. Who don’t know that name .. And when I said cake walk for Div 4 it was not bashing a team like Clyde because they have always been solid team and as good as they are they should be in the playoffs and go far in Div 4 Their region is some they have always played in the past and put whoopings on them ..Clyde has and always will be a team to beat with their past records in football ..and as far as Tiffin goes if they were in Div 4 we believe they could of went further..

Looks like TC takes the weekend off and off season practice starts Monday You need to let it go...they were handed their punishment by OHSAA who investigated. It has nothing to do with these kids... What happened to TC, did they get in trouble for having illegal practices?

So what teams were you bashing? I'd say the SBC Lake is pretty solid top to bottom. Tiffin gets challenged for the post season like everyone else does in the Lake. Heck the last place team Sandusky beat Fremont in the last week. I'd argue region 14 is better than region 10 this year.

Yep, Region 14 blows. Next year, we'll try not to have a state champ reign from 14.
