Is Margaretta the favorites again? Can Willard beat them this year? Can a team like Edison or Huron pull an upset to shake up the standings? I think Willard could win both season games. Possible split. And rubber match in tourney. They are very underrated right now. And it’s amazing considering how much these seniors have improved. But I love being the underdog. Willard squad playing very well together. A few underclassman stepping up big. Willard has the best on ball defender in Kali Sowers who has improved her offense leaps and bounds. IMO the top point guard in the area Layla Dials the kid can get to the paint at will. Creates shots for others. 3 point shot keeps improving as well. McKenna Stephens is the smallest fastest post in the area. Really a 3 IMO. Explodes on rebounds and shots inside. And can knock down the 3. Another great on ball defender. I want Presley Feltner to get us 20 rebounds a game 🙂. Tristan Buurma basic fundamental post. Physical. Gets good position on rebounds. Soft touch around rim 12-15’. Solid 5 seniors all around. They will get help from Jr. Grace Hall. Excellent length. Can stroke the 3. Very high IQ. Syvonsak I hope that’s how you spell it is very very quick. Can knock down 3 as well. Almost too quick to trap. Good court vision. Sets up players as well. I think this team will perform a lot better than the last few teams vs smaller teams. Struggled in the past w teams heavy on the guard side. We got guards this year that can apply that same intensity schools like Margaretta and Bellevue has. But that’s my scouting report. Your welcome coaches. Lol. Good luck LFB ⚡️🏀

Sounds like Willard may be the top team to beat in the sEc. They may win 31 games this year by an average of 40+. Good for them

The Polar Bears will most likely cruise through the Bay, the battle will be for 2nd place. It’s appears that Huron has enough girls in the program to have a Freshman team, that’s a good sign. I would consider the Huron varsity finishing in top 4 of Bay as a good year, hopefully we can get a season in!!

Your post didn't make me feel badly, I thought it was amusingly ignorant considering what both teams are returning.

What’s going on with Margaretta?
I know, they played 2 DIVISION ONE schools this week (that narrative is getting old), but Bellevue nearly beat Perrysburg earlier this year and this was Pburgs first game since November so I’d expect them to be a little rusty.
Was losing last years senior class too much for the Polar Bears? Next weeks game with Ross may be sneaky good!

Was losing last years senior class too much for the Polar Bears? Next weeks game with Ross may be sneaky good! As far as the H-L and Magnificat losses, Margaretta shot 13/50 against H-L (after going 6/12 in the first quarter) and 12/43 against Magnificat. That is not going to win a lot of ballgames. I do know that Perrysburg hit 10 3-pointers... in the FIRST HALF tonight. I do think they are still learning on the fly now that Jayden Moore and Taylor Malson have graduated. I have not seen THAT PLAYER that is going to step up when they need a bucket. Is it going to be Elliana Schaefer? Kylie Leibacher? Let’s not forget that they do have wins over Shelby and Toledo Christian - two teams that could win district titles this year. Margaretta has a good chance to win their next four games (Port Clinton, Perkins, Oak Harbor, and Huron) before facing Willard, Bellevue, Toledo Central Catholic, and two games at the Classic in the Country in a 9-day span. I do believe the Fremont Ross game is JV only.

I just noticed Willard doesn't play Bellevue this year. That's unfortunate. We did pick up Napoleon and Hopewell though. Pays to play good teams.
