Never too early to look forward to next year. What does everyone have back?
Here’s hoping we can have a more normal season in 2021.

Galion has still not filled the week 1 opening as of now. Week 9 will be a home game on October 15 against Lima Central Catholic, which replaces KIPP Columbus as the extra ooc game.

Ontario loses a lot. There were 18 seniors this year, very few underclassmen played significant minutes. They will have a lot of Sophomores and Freshman playing next year, 2 very good classes. They had big numbers in 8th and 7th grade this year. They'll be good in couple of years, if they don't get discouraged again, the next 2 years. The kid who would have made a heck of a QB for them the next 2 years was First Team All-Ohio in soccer this year as a Soph. The best athlete in the high school next year, 6-2 and the fastest kid in his class.

Never too early to look forward to next year. What does everyone have back? Here’s hoping we can have a more normal season in 2021. Shelby has to be the favorite. They return some key pieces. What will pleasant have? CF will be involved though as they are a tough team to beat. Galion gets back Donaldson but who will be at QB for them?

I see Donaldson will be doing pretty much alot. He will lineup everywhere including QB. But it will be interesting to see who will be the full time QB. Who was the JV QB? Who was the Freshmen QB Who was the 8th QB?

According to Galion's schedule Week 1 still hasn't been filled.
According to the OHSAA Open Dates link here are schools that need a Week 1 opponent. Now mind all of you some of these will never happen but I am just putting down who is looking for a game.
Lakota East Struthers Waverly Black River Greenon Fort Frye Centerville Hilliard Davidson Hilliard Bradley River Independence Clinton Massie Dublin Coffman Aurora Lake Catholic Racine Arcanum Toledo Central Catholic New Bremen Olentangy Liberty
I will guess either Waverly, Black River, Independence, Struthers, Clinton Massie, Lake Catholic, New Bremen could be the top choices. Now Galion could have an opponent and the schedule hasn't been updated but only time will tell.

The jv quarterback will be a senior next year. Rather athletic but very short. I would not at all be surprised to see a more running offense featuring Donaldson lining up at quarterback most of the time. Dick has liked offenses that throw the ball a lot so there’s that. I think they return the entire line minus 1 which will help. The line also will return nice size as well. I see them as about a 6-4 team. Good enough to beat the weak teams but not good enough to beat Shelby. 2020’s freshman class is decent. 2022 and 2023 should be good years.

Per arbiterlive Galion has filled the week 1 opening with Marion Elgin. It is an away game. It is only showing up in 2021, so I don’t know if this is a 2 year contract or not.

Really? Marion Elgin a DVI school. A team who finished 6-4 last year but didn't beat a team with a winning record. I understand that it is late in the game to fill a spot but Galion couldn't find anyone better. Is Galion afraid to play teams that are similar in size or teams that are playoff contenders? I believe that Elgin will become a regular on the schedule and that would be a shame. If Galion really wants to compete with the playoff teams they need to play at least one team that can battle test Galion and get them ready for the playoffs.

Shelby loses a lot of key pieces but brings back several key players. QB Marshall Shepherd and his top two receivers Andre Hill and Blaine Bowman will be back. Logan Green will be the leader on a young defense. Camden Armstrong will lead the lines on both sides. I would think they have enough personnel to be the favorites but it will be interesting to see how quickly the youngsters step up into their new roles.
Isn’t Highland in the MOAC this fall?

I looked both schools on arbiterlive and both are only showing 2021 so only time will tell. That has been a frustration of mine and has been discussed on here many times regarding Galion’s unwillingness to schedule bigger/tougher schools. This has been going on since they were shellacked at Madison in 2014. In fact Galion’s non MOAC record since 2014 (not counting playoff games) is 14-2. The only school that was even D4 in that timeframe is Keystone which they went 1-1 against. Virtually everyone else is D6.

Clear Fork is having trouble finding coaches. Some relationships have run their course. Is Carroll still the head coach?

First off, it's absolutely true that Clear Fork is having trouble finding coaches. Second, it's also true that Carroll is still the head coach. He's still the head coach. He's somehow managed to run off many assistant coaches. Quite frankly, he's been less than nice to them. He's denigrated, insulted, and outright been mean to assistant coaches. He's had the opportunity for former head-coaches to come back to their hometown, but he's decided to become such a less than nice person, they've declined a job opportunity.
Clear Fork, is having trouble finding coaches. Coaches have left. They are still teachers, however, they do not want to be part of the program. They want to see success, however, they just cannot take the mental abuse which Carroll implements. There is no reason that even his "brother" needs to leaves a practice wherein he was coaching the defense, and have such a berating which the other needs to step away.
Many former traditional Clear Fork gridiron heroes want to be a part of the program. However, Dave, has continuously ignored, these former individuals. Instead, he's disallowed any individual with any football knowledge, to be silenced. I know former individuals, who want to be part of the alumni celebrations, however, even when they've reached out Dave they've been meant with silence.
These are individuals who sweat and bled for Clear Fork Football. However, they did not live up to Clear Fork football ideals in one form or another. It was not that they were good men, its that they were not Dave's men. once in southwest Ohio, and he punched down. He's the Ontario of NwEOh coaches.
Somehow, he asks his coaches to break down film on sundays, and still can't break out past the second round. Until then, they'll set the record for just being choke artist-ists.

If he is such a bad guy how does he keep getting rehired? I would say it started in 1978 and 1979 football seasons where he was a successful player, and then his teammates became influential people within the district. I don't know, I'm probably just wrong though and on here trolling and looking to be reactionary with people.
