Never thought their interest would be really serious but sounds like it’s being thoroughly considered.

Never thought their interest would be really serious but sounds like it’s being thoroughly considered. its always been a strong rumor they would be interested in going to the NBC. The thing I am interested in is what happens to the Bay then?

Million dollar question for sure. I’d say the Lake and Bay becomes a 10 team league eventually. Willard to River (if they stay) or elsewhere.

I’m not surprised they’d consider it but the lack of swimming and tennis has to be an issue.

Agree and football is better in NBC, right?

Is the dog wagging the tail at OH or is the tail wagging the dog?
Travel - no. More sports offered - no advantage due to scheduling
I guess it is one way for Eastwood to get them back on the schedule as OH refuses to play them as well

I have heard that Oak Harbor is staying put in the SBC. Also heard the invitation to the NBC no longer stands but not clear if that's Oak Harbor or NBC's doing.

I have heard that the NBC is not happy with rossford I'm curious who's not happy about them finally being really good at something. (I think I have an idea and it would get a giant eye roll from me). Any updates on the NBC expansion conversation? Last I heard was talk of going to 10 or 12 schools with a big and little division. If Oak Harbor isn't coming over it would make sense to try and get Elmwood and Woodmore to stay by trying to bring in old SLL rivals Northwood, Lakota, and Gibsonburg with maybe Ottawa Hills, Maumee, or someone else similar in size looking to move on.

Lakota and Gibsonburg aren't going anywhere, nor should they. I still think SMCC messing around with football is making things difficult for the River and expansion.

This might happen. Today on Twitter, WTOL's Jordan Strack is reporting that he has talked to many school officials across NW Ohio who have said that a major realignment will happen soon and not one league will remain intact. Should be very interesting what will happen

I don't think Oak Harbor is included...their invite is no longer on the table and if the rumors are true about the new NLL, I see why it was rescinded.

Should be very interesting what will happen If this holds water, it's the result of years of negotiations, so what I foresee is significant reorganization based largely on travel and current realities. The NLL expands to 3 tiers based on the success of the SBC and many other examples, bringing in the Lucas and Wood County schools of the existing conference, as well as TRAC, NBC, and TAAC. Genoa, Woodmore, and Ross go to the SBC. Genoa coming in is what shut down the latest OH-to-NBC rumor. Stabilizes the SBC long-term. Napoleon goes back to the NWOAL. Lima Senior goes to the WBL. Findlay goes to the N10. The far-west teams in the TAAC end up in the Buckeye Border or the Green Meadows. No changes for the City League, Firelands, BVC, Putnam, others. :-)

I have heard that the NBC is not happy with rossford I'm told Rossford on their varsity, JV and freshman boys team have around 30 kids and only 2 are Rossford residents that when to school in the 6th grade. Rossford has sold their sole to Maumee Bay/Brad Morrison in basketball. New turf Football, Baseball and Softball fields.

They’d be a lot better if the kids who lived in Rossford stayed in Rossford for high school. Hopefully the new school and facilities will turn that around for them.

AAU basketball redirecting players to Rossford. AAU basketball directing them to Rossford for what reason? Also, most of these kids should save the money they spend on AAU bball to save for tuition for the D3 school they go to. Very hard to get scholarships for bball compared to other sports.

AAU kids(and/or parents) are attempting to put together championship teams. The D3 programs love the AAU/travel families who will simply reallocate their budgets to their “education”
