you still never answered my question though. Why does Fremont need the SBC Lake so badly? We know the Lake doesn't need them. Don't mistake one persons pushing for Ross to get into the SBC as a district-wide opinion. Also, just because I like this stuff, the last time Ross and Bellevue met on the gridiron was game one in 1942, a 42-0 Little Giant win. The last time Ross and Clyde played was in 1910, a 68-0 Ross win. I am thinking Clyde and Bellevue should schedule Fremont for a non-league game. The gate would be huge.

It would probably have to be Week 2. Tiffin and Sandusky are pretty much fixtures on Ross schedule.
Globogym, what has Bellevue done from State Level compared to other area schools(namely, Clyde) who are conference powers?
And, to your other inquiry, this may help. A little history lesson as well. Thirty years ago, why did it work so well when Mansfield Senior and Malabar merged but wouldn't had it been Madison? Or the Warren schools(Harding and Western Reserve) but wouldn't had it been JFK despite latter being a solid program themselves?
Now, apply it to Fremont City Schools that merged a white-collar community and agricultural areas some years ago.

So you still can't tell us how you can "assure" us that fremont doesn't have more boys choose from. Got it So bellevue not winning a state title in football is your measuring stick and playing fremont will get them there... Got it.

Yes, in the 1950's and 60's, the Fremont City Schools had the foresight to consolidate some of the nearby townships and their schools into the Fremont Schools. Heck, in the 60's when Green Springs was looking at options, they nearly merged with the Fremont City Schools before finally deciding to merge with Clyde. At that time Fremont was, and still is, a blue collar town. Other than maybe some plant managers and some bankers, Fremont has never been considered a "white collar" town.

^I survived sitting between these two at a Ross vs Findlay game. Well, since you had a light pole blocking your view of the game, you were still entertained.

Got it. not just Football regarding State Title, but also getting to State in other sports. Something their neighbor to West could do. And, if you're an impact player for Football living in Ballville, that's where SJCC has more to "choose" from.

In the last 50 years nearly every SBC school has 1 or more championships in one or more sports plus many Final 4 / Top 4 finishes at state as TEAMS. Ross has what state success? They fit geographically and need a new home out of desperation, why is that the SBC’s problem to fix?

They fit geographically and need a new home out of desperation, why is that the SBC’s problem to fix? It's not. Ross is going to the NLL anyway, as they would never be let in the SBC. Everyone moves on...which is good.

It isn't Lake's problem to fix: agreed
Team success? 2005 4th in Boys Track, 1994 Runner-up Boys X-Country.
Last State Title, 1973 Class AAA Golf

Fremont Ross claim to fame is easy. Charles Woodson
As for the SBC you guys are correct with Fremont not being the SBC’s problem. As long as no schools enrollment skyrockets or takes a major downfall then none of the schools should have a problem with its current setup.

That's before all the good swimmers in the state were sent a message from above that they needed a Catholic education.

Fremont Ross claim to fame is easy. Charles Woodson Many great players besides Woodson. Big strike against Ross, though, is "team" success.

You think Ross is in the NLL?
Clay for sure. Whitmer, Findlay, & Ross...someone is going to be left without a partner.

If they go to 10 with Maumee, BG and Napoleon out then all 4 plus one of those schools will be in. NLL wants to go to 10 schools. This is all contingent on BG and Napoleon saying good bye

This may not be directly NBC or SBC related but was reading over Yappi that the Vanlue school district had kindergarten signup day and only 3 were signed up. Also none of the grades from K-5 have more then 10 kids. I’m not sure how much longer that school can survive with numbers like that.
