I'm too lazy to start a 2021-22 Playoff Thread, but wanted to say I'll laugh if Stafford and boys beat Terrific Tom and Co again. Too bad Rams goofed against Niners; otherwise, game would be back at SoFi in Inglewood. I'm not laughing, but happy for the Rams. Now, NFC Championship Game will be at SoFi with a chance for LA to play there again for the Super Bowl

NFL is forever and always the King. What an amazing weekend of football. Agree they were great games, but I thought that is was not right that Buffalo never had a chance with the ball in overtime. The season for Buffalo came down to losing a coin flip. IMO this rule needs to be looked at.

A coin flip shouldn't be a big deciding factor. However, the flip side of things Buffalo let up two easy passes with 13 seconds left and didn't squib kick it to allow KC to tie the game, that was inexcusable.

Why not just give both teams ONE chance on offense? That seems to be the most fair. Simple solution. KC scored....now Buffalo gets the ball and has to match that TD or game over.

Josh Gordon waived by the Chiefs. I read that if he clears waivers the Chiefs will place him on their practice squad. He was on the verge of being one of the premier WR's in the NFL while with Cleveland and I honestly didn't know that he was even on a team this year. Five receptions for the season. What a waste.

Something I hadn't really thought of until now, but the overall football season was extended by two weeks starting this season. The OHSAA now starts a week earlier and the NFL now ends a week later.
Interesting that one changed the regular season dates so that an expanded playoff would still end at the same time while the other changed the playoff dates so that an expanded regular season would still start at the same time.

For a city that many opine is a bad NFL city and/or doesn't deserve a franchise (or2), this will be 2nd Super Bowl in 4 years for Rams. And, they'll get a home game to boot.

The play of the team is not what people opine about....it's other things things like, oh say, getting outdrawn by visiting fans in their state of the art home stadium during a freaking conference championship game....all the while posting "this is our house" all over the stadium. Though the play of the team over these past 5 years will go a long way toward fixing that kind of problem in the future, especially if they get the win on Feb 13. In the short term they gain some more of the bandwagoner types, but the real prize is securing the life long fandom of the generation alpha and younger gen Z fans who are currently being endeared to them. Though it's going to take another decade or two for those kids to start making a real impact on the turnstiles.

My point, more than anything, it's a winning franchise despite some apathy and fans wishes against an LA franchise

Tom Brady officially announced his retirement today. Love him or hate him no debating he is the greatest of all time. You could even argue that he is the most accomplished athlete in any sport. Hard enough to get to one super bowl let alone win 7 of them. Pretty remarkable career.

Hard enough to get to one super bowl let alone win 7 of them. Pretty remarkable career. He went to 10 Super Bowls, won 7. Darn Giselle! Yes, I'm being selfish as I think he has plenty in the tank and would like for him to ride it out as long as possible

Rodgers days in GB seem over. Just please stay away from Pittsburgh Cleveland appears to be looking for a QB, wouldn't rule that out.

LA Rams, representing a "lousy" NFL city, are your Super Bowl Champs.

LA Rams, representing a "lousy" NFL city, are your Super Bowl Champs. I think it’d work better if there weren’t two teams in LA. I think getting the Chargers out of California would be their best option. Charger home games get more opposing fans then their own.

This was the 2nd straight year that an NFC team with a new quarterback acquired in the offseason went on the win a Super Bowl held at their home stadium.
Super Bowl 57 is going to be held in Glendale, AZ and there is currently a lot of drama around Kyler Murray. So, what QB will the Cardinals land this offseason to keep the streak going?

This is textbook pass coverage, in anyone's book. Pass interference.....NOT. A no-call (as it should have been), the Rams would be facing 4th and goal (4th & 8). I would like the Bengals chances, but the mindset of the game officials, with a sudden flurry of flags to end the game, would probably see additional laundry on the field.

Bengals robbed from what? Were we fine with, had Bengals hung on to win, OPI that wasn't called to begin 2nd Half?
Both teams had opportunities regardless missed/blown calls. Boyd dropping a pass, for example. His 1st of year.

Pass interference.....NOT. You are correct that it was not pass interference. ...because it was defensive holding that they called. A very weak call given the situation and the way they had been calling the game until this point, but still enough contact technically qualify for holding. Also it should be noted, the Rams still had all 3 time outs left, there was still 1:44 left on the clock after this play, and the line of scrimmage was the 8. Getting a stop for the ensuing 4th down would have not necessarily meant game over, the Bengals would still have needed at least one first down to ice the game had they got the ball back. So let's not treat this call like it had the same weight as the infamous 2003 Fiesta Bowl PI.

Only problem is, there was no holding involved, just excellent coverage by Logan Wilson. Very unfortunate that a call such as this comes when the game is on the line.
Another footnote: on the last play of the game, J'marr Chase was wide open. The defense was in single coverage and Jalen Ramsey tripped and fell, leaving Chase wide open for a walk-in score. Joe Burrow never had time to acknowledge, due to the great pursuit of Aaron Donald.
One thing that was not acknowledged by game hosts, was the terrible spot of the ball at mid-field, that clearly showed the nose of the ball was a couple inches shy of the 1st down marker. The spot was about 18-20 short of what it should have been. Zach Taylor should have called for a review of the spot. A correct spot would have effected the play call, perhaps a sneak or some other running play, instead of the ill-fated pass attempt.
