In reference to Shelby against Wooster... Shelby held it together for a half. I think Shelby still had better talent, but Wooster definitely had more legitimate athletes on their team who pressured Shelby pretty well throughout the game. I lobby they probably had most of the top 5 fastest kids in the same way Shelby had most of the better basketball talented players. Once things starting getting dicey, Shelby was stuck doing a lot of those 1 v 1 sets that Wooster kept eating up because they were executing pretty well on defense. Honestly, Wooster started out maybe 1-10 or 0-11 from 3 in that game, if not worse. Shelby could have lost by 30. That being said, it will be really difficult for this Shelby team to run into a team of Wooster's caliber until regionals. If Shelby had played up to their peak against Lima, then they definitely scraped near the bottom against Wooster (with some help from Wooster being a very fine team). Shelby would have lost to Lima by 20 easily if they played like they did against Wooster. IF Shelby didn't play up to their potential against Wooster, is it not possible Lima didn't play up tp their potential against Shelby? I bet if you asked Lima they would say they did not. ALSO, if Shelby played up to their potential against Lima, then they have not played close to their potential in any of their other games. For some reason, Lima struggles against the smaller schools.

Good draw for Norwalk as they can get revenge on Upper and then could play Ontario for a trip to another District Championship game...

Their 6th man Weaver led Ontario in scoring.

Shelby and Huron didn't meet during the regular season, but Norwalk and Ontario did
Norwalk defeated Ontario 58-46 early in the season, and it seems like Coach Gray always has Balogh's number

Now I think of it, wished Norwalk-Upper was a bit later. Two of area's tournament traditions getting eliminated so early bites the bullet.

Norwalk by double figures. Lou Holtz, is that you? If he is correct, his idol retires with 598 career wins.
