If he is correct, his idol retires with 598 career wins. so, this is a slam dunk he's calling it a career after this season? Only dude knows, he claims to be his agent.

Balogh with 598 wins, and Gray with 467. That's a combined 1065.
Outstanding!

when Benji Hall was lighting up the scoreboards, i thought that might have been the best opportunity for Balogh to get a team to state.. that was some good years for ontario..

He did get a team to State. The Bryan Moloney team, that didn't have a player over 6-1, lost in the State Semis in OT to Orrville, who went on to win the Championship game by 28 over Wheelersburg.
Next would have been when 6-5 215 Tony Dorsey was a Junior and 6-8 240 Matt Smith was a Senior. Dorsey went on the play for Findlay and Smith for Robert Morris. They lost 2 games that year. To DI State Champ Cleveland Heights and lost in the Reginal Finals by 2(they were up 6 late in the 4th) to Patrick Henny who went on to win the DIII State Championship.
Benji's best shot was when he was a Senior, that team lost in the Regional in 2 OTs to Lima Catholic.
I believe in the game last night Shaver passed Benji for the #2 spot on the all time scoring list at Ontario. Benji was prophetic, when he saw Shaver play as a Sophomore he predicted he would become the best PG in Ontario history. That WAS the best PG making that prediction.

Sorry Benji was better outside observation I would agree that Benji was better but comparing a kid from 20 years ago to today is very tough. Had Benji played varsity as a freshman Shaver would have never past his scoring mark. If Ontario would have had a good team Shaver's freshman year he would not have played. Although Shaver playing with Adam Davis, Ryan Dorsey and Matt Smith could have been explosive.

Who is everyone picking tonight? I got Ontario and Shelby. Wouldn’t be surprised if Norwalk won either, but if Shelby loses I would be very surprised.

Shelby winning at the foul line making 15 to Huron's 1. Huron made one more field goal than Shelby. For the game shelby 17/24 free throws and the tigers 7/15. Shelby also much better from the field. Not a poorly officiated game. It was never really close. Sometimes point in time statistics are misleading.
