I noticed on Yappi TC will play Avon Lake. They've had some battles in years past regarding Postseason
Just like Mansfield should play in Norwalk this year, Ross should play at Frost-Kalnow
Btw, Josh, enjoy your day!

who will be the first to make a joke about them needing to practice in the winter again? I'm here for it. in all seriousness, with the success they've had recently, i would expect schedules like this for the time being.

The SBC is tough enough without adding the meat grinder non league schedule. I like Fremont and Springfield. Mayfield? What is the point. No natural rivalry. I would have looked for Start, Bowsher, Clay, Maumee, Whitmer, etc. Bad move also with Avon Lake. 6-4/7-3 with this and danger of injuries. Not being a hater....just calling it like it is.

In fairness, TC can't win. Last couple years, their non-conference was weak. Now, they up the ante, and get criticized.

Mayfield was not the first option. As far as I understand it, Columbian had a good agreement with a Bay division school, who then backed out recently, so Columbian scrambled and got Mayfield.

Wow!, 6-4 might get them in the playoffs, 7-3 could get them a #1 seed, That's really Man'n up there, with that schedule, Good Luck. I wonder why Willard backed out, Oh they need a coach that's why.

Well if you know how scheduling works, it takes two to tango. With their success local teams won't okay unless they have too. Toledo public's are also scheduling more local d4 and d5 teams instead of the larger d3. They looked for local teams like all the local schools do. By the way they can make the playoffs in that region with 4 wins. Region 10 is atrocious

I do realize that sometimes you have to take what you can get. Mayfield might have been the only option. However, if there were other closer people, I would have picked them. I also am not in favor of Avon lake. Springfield is a good game from a good league. Fremont will be much improved too. Let’s pray for tc to stay healthy. Also, for the record, I never complained about the schedule being “too easy” Edit: southview and Woodward are open for week #3. Southview would be a good game. Woodward would for sure travel to tiffin for a guarantee.

And they are forced to choose between mayfield and massillon which btw was a team who reached out to them. Who you taking? It's only for a year filler anyway. Also with covid you think athletic budgets are plentiful enough to pay woodward to come play them? Woodward picked up Perkins because Perkins has been awful and they would rather play them than a team who has had success the past few years. The only hope is what maplecity said which is 12 teams in might alleviate the local scheduling issues. Until then look for the sbc lake schools with recent success to have to travel and play up to get 10 game schedules

This schedule will do nothing but good things for Tiffin. If they lose a few in the regular season then so be it. They will be battle tested through the year starting with the first game. Tiffin should play Ross every year in the first game period. Its was called The Battle of 53 when I played and was always a great game. Avon Lake is coming here to play and will not be disappointed win or lose. Mansfield and Mayfield will offer great games but TC has enough to handle them. The Lake grind will be tough as usual but Im still sold on Tiffin this year with what they have coming back. As a TC alum and fan I think it will be a fun season and it will be great to watch a full season again.

Ok. As a tiffin fan, I hope things fall the blue and good way and the team stays healthy. As a former coach, I always worry about depth and injuries as it is nice to have a “breather” game.
I don’t know how old you are, but I have seen quite a few tc vs Fremont games and it is a good rivalry. When TC won, it usually meant they were on their way to a good season. Sad that fostoria has fallen on such hard times as that was always a good game as well.
No thanks on Massillon.
Not that I want to schedule them, but I think that TC has only ever played Findlay in the modern era in 88 and 89. I wonder why that game has rarely happened.

It sounds like the Tornadoes have gotten a nice transfer from an area school. You could say it could take Columbian to the max potential?!

Also rumored to be possible tampering by a wrestling coach... Along with the said player already practicing with tiffin and is not yet enrolled. Not a good look for tiffin

From what I've heard this has more to do with wrestling than football. The football team is just wreaking the benefits of it.

If his family is buying a home in Columbian school district then nothing else really matters at this point. Football season hasn’t officially begun and open mats for wrestling is legal. Don’t really see what is so shady about it

Tiffin will be damn good in all boys sports this upcoming school year. They have some talented classes and the addition of Ray from Bellevue will only help. Family is moving there or buying property

Don’t really see what is so shady about it The OHSAA still has to approve kids playing sports right away even with a move. Parents must give reason for the move to the OHSAA and obviously it must be for a reason other than sports.
