Congrats Streaks, looks like they're going to bookend their 6 years of NOL play with titles in their first and final seasons

Great high school football game! First half ended 7-6 Sandusky. Second half was back and forth with Sandusky pulling in out in the final minute 28-26.

That was one of the best games I've ever witnessed at the HS level. Two really good teams giving it their all. Sandusky was an it sloppy tonight, but Bellevue caused a lot of it. I like Bellevue's interior defense. It's tough.

Imagine if Bellevue could actually kick extra points??? Yep, add this to the long list of games Bellevue has lost by 1-4 points despite equaling the opponent in TD's, thanks to Nasonti's refusal to develop a kicker.

Id like to know how many local schools without a soccer program has a decent kicker? I agree we need a kicker but i think sometimes its easier said than done especially if no one is interested. Was also some great home cooking at Strobel last night. 🙄 Great effort by the Redmen. Odds stacked against us and almost pulled it off. I still think the line play on both sides Of the ball is hurting compared to years past.

Bellevue has never received home cooking.
Also, the game was officiated fine. Bellevue couldn't make enough plays and fumbling the opening kickoff of the second half was a game changer.

Develop a kicker or find a toe basher....

I would imagine the home cooking comment stems from the Sandusky clock operator, who is either the most egregious homer ever or just happens to have absolutely horrible reaction time. On every single play of Bellevue's last minute drive an extra 2-3 seconds went off the clock after the whistle. After enough screaming from the Bellevue side the refs finally started catching it and having them put more time back on the clock (which happened about 3-4 times in the final 25 seconds), but if you add up the 3 or so times they let it go earlier in the possession Bellevue could have had at least 1 maybe 2 more plays on that drive (which made it as far as the Sandusky 17)

Bellevue fans complaining about being homered. Now that's rich.

We had the same thing happen in Galion last night. I don't know if the kids don't know the rule or the coaches don't.

Home cooking? That's funny. A lot of Sandusky fans were pretty upset with some questionable holding calls that brought back some of our big plays. Not only that, but watching the replay and seeing it live, Bellevue got away with two blatant holds that resulted in Foos runs for big yardage. At the end of the day, the refs miss calls for both sides. Stop blaming them for losing and take the defeat. The refs didn't give up a touchdown with 46 seconds left. But they did call one back on us.

Having a kicker would assume he/she would have made all four extra-points, to tie the game. Still doesn't change the outcome. "Could have" but does not necessarily change it.

Bellevue had a girl kicker a few years back that was solid. At this point I think that it's a decision by Nasonti not to kick and go for two instead.

Bellevue had a girl kicker a few years back that was solid. At this point I think that it's a decision by Nasonti not to kick and go for two instead. Yep, in the fairly recent past he only kicks when he has some player with prior kicking or soccer experience land in his lap, such as that girl, the Norwegian foreign exchange student, and the center who had started kicking on his own (I think) in like 5th or 6th grade. In these past 2 seasons where none of those exceptions applied, it's been strictly go for 2 every single time. Going further back he's sometimes had the QB try PAT's (I remember Watson doing it, and I think DeBlase did too), and there was another lineman named Mike Snyder who kicked back in the early 00's (whose PAT length FG in a 17-10 loss at Tiffin in 2003 was the last time Bellevue has made a FG, and is possibly the last time we attempted one) And in any of the years where we had someone attempting PATs, any time they missed one it would usually mean going for 2 for the rest of the night...and there were plenty of times we're we'd just go for 2 all night from the start anyway.

Bellevue had a kicker a few years ago when they made the state championship game I believe. His name was strayer and he was the starting center who kicked field goals as well.
