Who will be the top teams and contenders for the league title and who will be the best returning players for each team?
Also here is hoping for most things to return to normal and all fans can go to games again.

Top Contenders Port Clinton Edison Huron Rounding out the bottom Vermillion Willard - Flashes will return Paxton and Lopez which is statistically the best 2 on the team.

They would rather play Willard than Otsego. Edison than Eastwood. There is a hard push by some to leave the SBC. Then they line up Fostoria, Woodward, and Bowsher as 3 out 5 non league games. Genoa is WAY down. Rossford, Huron, and maybe Port Clinton are games that will be ok. They want their cake schedule. period.

Who's the 'Some' that want Oak Harbor to leave the SBC ? Oak Harbor folks ? Can't imagine the rest of the SBC would want them to go.

I didn’t list Oak Harbor because I personally believe they will more than likely leave, as much as I don’t want that. I believe they will sadly. Marg will be asked to move up then the river will split into one of its own. Heard it here first

Conference moves don't tend to happen that fst.

Marg will be asked to move up then the river will split into one of its own. Heard it here first What exactly would be the benefit for the River schools to split into their own league when they already have their own division in the SBC? I see no motivation for the small schools to want to do that, especially since many of them have been screwed in the past when a few schools leave a league and the league disintegrates. While certainly not perfect, the scale of the SBC provides "safety in numbers".

League Championship is much more impressive than division championship. "Safety in numbers" why? Is there a SBC League rule that if a couple of River school leave, then 1 or 2 Bay schools will be made to move down to the River?

Is there a SBC League rule that if a couple of River school leave, then 1 or 2 Bay schools will be made to move down to the River? I can say the schools of the Ohio Capital Conference consider their division a “full conference” and is a true league title. The benefit of the mega conference is the ability to slide schools around to cover enrollment changes or if schools leave/join the conference. There were no discussions about other divisions at the league swimming, cross country and track meets I’ve been to.

"League Championship is much more impressive than division championship"..... Only more impressive to those who can't handle change. Pretty sure if Willard football were to ever win the Bay Division there would be 14 pages of comments on here about how impressive that was. ""Safety in numbers" why? Is there a SBC League rule that if a couple of River school leave, then 1 or 2 Bay schools will be made to move down to the River?"..... Did I say there was a league rule? It provides the league some flexibility to work with all the other league schools to fill schedules and determine the best course of action.

Margaretta was in the process of leaving the SBC, To join St. Mary's in the 'new' Sandusky River League, Before the SBC created a River Division. I pretty sure, Margaretta will not be asked to move up to the Bay (Football), No matter who leaves.

Is the Oak Harbor move the 21-22 season, I may have missed in other forums when the start is. What happens to the Bay? Is it dead? Do some move to the Lake, some to the River? Does the Bay bring in another school?

Am I understanding everything correctly! Margaretta and Lakota will not have to move up to the Bay. As well as Vermilion and Port Clinton will not have to ever move up to the Lake...... is that in the bylaws? asking for a Willard friend

During this re-alignment Woodmore, Gibsonburg and Lakota need to bind themselves together with Hopewell-Loudon joining them to make a power blocK. These 4 schools could have saved the SLL or MAL and made a tight geographical league with Elmwood, St. Joe, Calvert, North Baltimore, Northwood or some of their other River friends. If they stick together this time they will MAINTAIN good gates, reasonable travel expenses and weeknight games that make sense. The Bay and Lake need to go hunting for more appropriate members.

Sounds like the conspiracy of River departure has begun! I think you might be on to something here.

None of the River schools will move to Bay. The most likely scenario is a 10-team Lake/Bay setup of some sort. Margaretta to River full time and Willard somewhere other than Bay (or Lake).

Am I understanding everything correctly! Margaretta and Lakota will not have to move up to the Bay. As well as Vermilion and Port Clinton will not have to ever move up to the Lake...... is that in the bylaws? asking for a Willard friend sorry, but I am tired of this Willard needs the river stuff. They also need to establish a program and support it. Its time to just embrace the uphill battle it is going to be instead of complain about who gets to be in the river and doesn't have to move up. Its time to find a way to improve instead of looking for it to get easier. Hell they were 0-11 last year. There is nowhere to go but up.

I really gotta look in the mirror and realize 0-11 is a big zero. Thanks for pointing that out! Double standards are fine when your a loser. Thanks buddy for the life lesson. Good luck to you being a winner and showing me my place 👍. I’m gonna take this and build on it, today is a new day with a new direction.

If you take my comment personal than that is your choice. The fact of the matter is this, Willard is currently a Bay school and will stay there. The river talk is moot and not happening or it already would have. So you have two choices, find a way to get better and compete or find a new league. Its pretty much the only options.

No that has been established from other comments that when Shelby left Willard had to go to the Bay and I accept it after all. But I’m excited about one of the smaller schools coming to the Bay now with the exit of Oak Harbor. Willard will get a game with Margaretta or Lakota. Maybe a in a few years more River schools will be bumped up to the Bay and Willard could get Gibsonburg and Woodmore. I think if we could get really small schools in the River we could get more of the Bigger River schools in the Bay and bump Port Clinton to the Lake and make a really nice division for Willard. Thanks for your input, I’m going with the up lifted outlook and whether you want credit or not you have motivated my new direction of positivity.

(I know I shouldn't joke) hopefully though, this new hire can give them some stability and maybe get things moving in the right direction.

I wouldn't get your hopes up of a river school moving to the Bay... I'd say Willard's best hope is an acceptance to the N10 right now, which I think they would fit nicely into
