Only 2 losses were to Findlay in OT and Lima Senior by 8. Teams OG has typically defeated in the not so distant past. I crack up when Lima goes 14-0 in the rugged TRAC, but loses to area smaller schools like OG, Shawnee, et al To my knowledge it has only happened once. Two years ago when both OG and Shawnee were arguably the top teams in their divisions. |

Mansfield Sr knocked off Lima Sr tonight in Overtime. Mansfield is definitely the team to beat this year in the OCC and honestly they may not lose a OCC game if they keep playing like they have the first two games This didn't age well. Wooster beat Lex. Updated OCC standings. Ashland 6-3 Lex 6-4 Wooster 6-5 West Holmes 5-4 MV 5-5 Madison 4-5 Sr High 2-8 I ran the math on the matchups. A 6 way tie is mathematically impossible unfortunately. |

TYgers finished last in 74-75 and 78-79 although tied for last with Lorain Senior and Sandusky 74-75. Mansfield Senior struggled in Boys Basketball from 74-75 to 78-79(5 years) plus 81-82 school year. Coupled with very poor showing in Football, TYgers had to get out, and did from the competitive Buckeye Made the announcement on Jan 1979 when Football completed 0-10 season and 4-15/2-12 Boys Basketball. However, were defending Class AAA Boys Track and Field State Champions |

I never thought I'd see the day Mansfield Senior would be DII, especially AFTER Malabar and Senior combined into one high school. AND be seeded 8th out of 11 schools. |

Tonight Lex plays their last game in the "New" gym. Win or lose it will be a special night. A lot of special memories, great games and great players have shown there skill in the 40+ year history of the gym at 1989 Championship Drive! Next year the Minutemen will be in the new high school and the new gymnasium. And I'm sure there will be many more great memories made.

Not surprising O-G is always solid. I did work for a former teacher in their district that was a ticket seller. She said that the expectation there is a regional tournament appearance at least every 2/3 years or so and to win some playoff game in football. Playing in that Western Buckeye League definitely makes them a solid team.

Since they regularly win the WBL, we cannot give their league much of the credit for their success. Their non-conference games tell the story of how good they are. |
