The B12 is done. No one is going to sign the leftovers of that league to the TV deals they are used to getting. Goodbye revenue stream. A&M can wail and gnash their teeth all they want, they ain't leaving the SEC to go back to a league that no longer "exists." And even if they did, no one would give a 5hit.

Arkansas, who can't do anything in the SEC, can go back with A&M and add all the other Texas school who want in. Texas oil money can buy about anything they want.

Chris Childers & Rick Neuheisel program on ESPNU this morning was discussing the current state of events in the college football world, said that Kansas to the Big Ten is a 'done deal'. If the B1G expands, it will probably be at least two, in my estimation.......stay tuned. Kansas is an AAU school, as is Iowa State, Missouri and Colorado. Without having to go to the Left Coast for schools. ALL would love competing in the Big Ten West. Pittsburg and Virginia also, but they'd have to play in the East.

The experts in the know and close to the situation, say that the remaining Big 12 schools are unattractive to either the Pac 12 or the Big Ten. Academic standards and market value, makes them not a good fit, except for possibly Kansas. If in fact, that becomes the case, BYU or Boise State would be a good fit to fill out their roster of schools.

When Nebraska joined the Big Ten they were an AAU school. The reason they lost their AAU membership is due to their medical school being located on their Omaha campus. Which is where it was when membership was granted 100 years ago.

Indiana got smacked by Iowa. Was last year just a fluke for Indiana?

Indiana got smacked by Iowa. Was last year just a fluke for Indiana? I think Iowa’s defense is legit, however I will hold my tongue on confirming that until week 6, to see them play more games.

Georgia just knocked off Clemson 10-3. I don’t like SEC teams, but am glad to see Clemson lose.

Oklahoma still has the suspect defense we have become accustomed to and Tulane outplayed them, with a chance to win it on the final drive of the game. Tulane took to the air exclusively on the final drive. Had they mixed up the playcalling, Tulane might be in the win column.
Good defensive efforts from Clemson and Georgia, but neither team that impressive offensively.
Ohio State should move up a notch or two in the rankings this week.

The only qb’s on teams that matter that looked better than Stroud were Bryce Young and Desmond Ridder

Win all your games and you make the playoff. That’s all that matters. Rankings are irrelevant after one week

Ohio State 4. Oklahoma/Texas A&M 6.-10. Clemson

Since Desmond Howard was so outspoken on how the Buckeyes did not look like a #4 team I wonder if he is saying the same thing about Clemson and definitely Oklahoma.

Suddenly the Quinn Ewers developments are old news. Gavin Winset, One of the top QB recruits in '22 class, played QB for his high school team Friday night in Kentucky. Saturday, his family packed him up and drove to New York and now, Gavin is officially, a member of the Rutgers football team. Seems, Gavin and his family have been receiving a lot of flack from students and people in the community for not committing to Kentucky. The family had enough, and decided to emulate Quinn Ewers and forego his senior year of high school.

That would be an initial, knee jerk, reaction. From all intents and purposes, the B12 is in the process of establishing itself, long term. They are in the process of adding Cincinnati, UCF, Houston and BYU and perhaps even more (Boise State was mentioned as a football only option and Gonzaga as a BB only option). UCF is the largest university in the nation and has an annual operating budget of 1.9 billion dollars. All are solid, well respected schools that will enhance and solidify the conference. Add to that, the recent alliance agreement between the B1G, ACC and PAC12, pretty much assures the the Texas/Oklahoma departure will be the extent of the raiding and dismantling and any further damage won't be coming from the Alliance conferences. The continuation and validation of the B12 is in college football's best interest, moving forward and other than the SEC perhaps, most of the other major conferences fully understand this reality.

Looks like the expansion finally back to 12 is a done deal and some media reporting that they may try to add more. This is a major step up for Cincinnati IMO.

Much like UCF (nations largest university), Cincinnati is growing. The Big 12 will be a solid and stable conference after the departure of Texas and Oklahoma. There will be many in the conference that will be happy to see Texas go.
