Pleasant looks about as bad as you can. Still hoping for the best but would not bet on a win this year. Still early and hoping for the best. One good thing is Wynford had the best hot dogs of this short year so far!

Agree with the discipline comment. I’m sure Lex was antagonizing them a bit since they were down big, but you have to control your emotions. Shelby has to develop a running game. They will eventually come up against someone that can defend the pass. Playing your ones against another team’s twos and threes may make the scoreboard look better, but it does nothing for the future of your program. Putting sophomores on the field on Friday night does. Good for Shelby‘s future. Not so much for Lex. |

Then they got serious and ran the ball down Galion's throat in the second half. Carey definitely wore Galion down in the second half. 24 is a beast. 6-1, 265. Galion took their foot off the gas after halftime and Carey came out fired up. They are a good team. I hope they do well. |

He was trying to teach his kids to play a full game thru adversity. I thought both coaches did what was right for their teams futures, because right now they need different things. |

Galion’s offense continued to sputter tonight. They ended up sending 12 out there a sophomore. I hope they stick with him. He is a passer and the offense needs that. 17 is better suited at receiver where he can match up 1 on 1. Galion was tired and slow the whole second half. It’s disappointing but it is what it is. There are a bunch of sophomores and even some freshman on the roster. They will improve but there will be some growing pains.

As for Lex keeping starters in entire game, was not at all surprised by that. BTW,shelby has underclassmen on their 1 team as well. Lucky for Lex only one starter limped off late in the game. Comment by Lex coach how they fought back in 4th quarter is somewhat laughable but true ,,, lex's 1's are clearly much better than shelby's 2's and 3's. |

I’ll buy this statement with two caveats: How much does another team’s twos and threes really offer you as resistance? What does it do mentally to your ones knowing how psychological the game is (I’ve always said the game is more mental the younger the athlete. OSU wins with better athletes because they recruit. High schools win with similar athletes who BELIEVE they are going to win). |
