I looked, Galion lost ONE game by 3 points or less last year. You know Willard I would expect better from you...very disappointed in your lack of research AND trying to call me out on here. I won't call you names though...probably should, but I won't. AND you capitalized "ONE" too. You're an....... See I told you I wouldn't call you any names. I let everyone else fill in the blank. But you have a reputation on here for being dishonest and loud, so you are doing a fine job. I'm sorry I missed the "5 games by 3 points or less last year.." by "ONE" game. But that's what's the "like" written before the 5 means..for people like Willard mean...approximately... Here's the breakdown for anyone who wants to check since Willard didn't: Dec. 3rd - JA 37 - 34 Dec. 5th - BV 55-52 Jan. 9th - RV 50-49 Feb. 6th - Ontario 46-44. We also lost "like" 3 games by "about" 7 points or less: Bellevue / Marion Harding and Upper Sandusky. We didn't have the best team of course in the league by far, but the conference was so much better last year. Galion's team last year could crush any team this year. But that's basketball..just a bunch of smack talk. EXCEPT if you are going to talk smack at least bring the facts instead of just being an ....... My bad. When I researched I mistakenly clicked on the 2014-2015 season instead of the 2015-2016 season. The two are about an 1/8th of an inch apart.

Ok...Willard, I'll take that as an apology. I don't mind you schooling me on my lack of knowdege in something, but I don't like being called a liar. But I understand the confusion, you and I are good.

gt, enjoy this years Galion team since it will be your last. In 20 years you can look back and say how good or bad the teams were but for today, enjoy the ride with your kid.

Yep! It's all coming to end. I'll forget this season in basketball though. I hope to at least. LOL Man! There's been some good times though both in basketball and in football. Greatest decision we ever made moving into this school district, I wouldn't change it in anyway. You are totally right "Dude".

North Union escapes Cardington with the win. Made free throw with less than a second left in the game. Good luck MOAC in tourney play. Well, MG and Highland can bow out in the first round I suppose.... 😁😁😁

That Cardington game must have been a tough one to swallow. What really appeared to be a non-shooting foul with 1.2 seconds left turned into a shooting foul with .6 seconds left. The officials all conferred and but claimed that they didn't see what happened. Still, it was a terrific regular season for the Pirates. Classy move by the coach as well by playing seniors for the first 4 minutes of the first quarter, even though it may have cost them the game.

I knew we probably wouldn't win this game. I basically called it before the game. Our team is a mess. We got worse as the season went on. I'm just being honest here. We don't run plays (it sure seems that way to me), and we don't defend consistently enough. Our passes are erratic. We turn the ball over a tremendous times a game. Just a mess.
We lost tonight 61-48 against Crestline. I don't think I've ever seen a game where I'm betting Crestline made like 5 (maybe) outside shots that weren't layups. If it was more than 5, I'd be surprised. But there were actually running plays against us, its amazing how that works when you actually have a plan and try to execute it. Yeah! I'm not happy!

I agree with everything you said. I think you know more about basketball than you say you do, LOL... IMO we got worse from the first game to the last. It's hard to actually get worse as the season goes on but that's what happened.... When we do run plays, it's the same play the whole game... I'm having a hard time thinking of 5 shots they made outside the paint. It was layups (or a dunk that was a clear travel) the whole game.... There seemed to be a lot of unhappy people in the crowd and I can't blame them. It was an embarrassing season capped of with an embarrassing loss.

No size and being lead by a freshman that may be good a Jv player at most schools. IMO

But now galion is going to say how he was the only one to apply and how they should be grateful that he took the job. He says it everytime somebody criticizes the coach, LOL.

It wasn't his fault that he was hired to do something he couldn't do. It wasn't his fault Bright was unjustly let go as head basketball coach, at the last moment. Yet there is no problem with him being a track coach. You tell that story to someone not from this area and they think it's a bad joke.

I don't know about us not having size, we have two kids that are 6'4". I would think that would be enough size. I didn't see many if ANY big teams in our league. The guy from NU is a load and a good player, but other than him, I didn't see many BIG guys who were consistently good in our league. There was one other from some other team that had a decent game against us, but the next time we played them, I don't even remember him making more than a couple of shots...River Valley maybe.
Our freshman guard leading our team is not the issue, but he has to learn to become more patient, work on his ball handling skills (in the off season) and share the ball more. If he does that, he should become a good player. I blame our play on our coach. Plain and simple. He's letting the kids do what they want to do out there. I don't see any meaningful adjustments during the game. The guy is one of the nicest guys in the world though (I like the guy.), but as a varsity coach right now....eeeehhhhhh! I don't know. He's got to do some soul searching if he comes back next year. You got to fire these kids up. He's not doing that.

Bright wasn't let go he resigned. There are 2 things that I know for certain. 1. There will be a new coach next season. and 2. If Bright hadn't resigned this team was capable of winning 5 games max, although the losses would likely have been closer.

I saw them play before they had the second round of tryouts 6 weeks into the season and added your kid. Being led by a freshman is not an issue. Being led by a freshman who is not ready to lead is. You listed some areas that prove my point. The talent pool is not very deep and the expectations should have been very low, as I indicated, then add in the coaching change. This was not going to be a successful season, by any measure of growth. IMO

I agree gallon does have a little size. But still no rebounder they seem scared inside lol. Harding killed them on the glass and they have 1 player over 6'1.

Harding led mid way through the 3rd. Lost 59-39. But what an effort. Northland is a power house. Ellis played really well despite 3 first half fouls.
