First-ever meeting between the Little Giants and Eagles. Imo, Avon is the favorite but Ross is as battle tested as any team in the state thanks to our schedule.

On a side note, Ross has a loooooong history of playing schools from Lorain County. We've faced Elyria, and all the Lorain high schools with the exception of the current, Lorain Titans.

For the record, currently Avon has a 27-14 all-time Playoff Record. That's across 3 Divisions ad it was D4 in 1996 when making 1st appearance

I know nothing about the injury situation for either team, but it's interesting to note that Avon lost to Avon Lake who went down to SJJ on Friday. It's hard to compare scores but there might be a glimmer of hope. There's more than a few people who think Medina can win D-I and Avon gave them a decent game so your fears are well founded.

All of Ross' Playoff wins have been at Home. Time to win one at away/neutral site. Avon would be a great place to start

I remember when Avon was a small Div. 4 when Huron had played them a few times right before Avon got crazy big over night.

First time I saw Avon was 2008 Regional Semi Division III Region 10 against Columbian at Huron Memorial Stadium. As you hinted, it's not far away from DI. It was D5 when I was in school |

It was D5 when I was in school Aurora pretty much did the same thing. The city keeps getting smaller and the suburbs keep growing. |

back in my younger days toward 1974 avon was in the Inland conference with south amherst,firelands,columbia,keystone,medina buckeye,medina highland and lutheran west and buckeye and highland were the bullies until highland left in 1976.so times have really changed especially the growth of avon.
