It's only a matter of time, the Dolan's will take their money and run. Some future owner will realize the sentiment among the fan base, restoring history and tradition, with a return to the former name and logos.

The last report I read the Dolan's spend like 13% over and above their total revenue just to keep baseball in Cleveland. It's not just the player's salary it's the whole kit and kaboodle. I read the article in the PD before last season and tried to find it but can't. Take it for what it's worth. I would love to see them sell the team to a Dan Gilbert type owner that spends money regardless,I just don't think you can blame them for being frugal when they are already bleeding cash. Has the value of the club went up? Sure,so is the value of my house but I'm not selling so it's only on paper I suppose.

Clippers owner-91.4 Dan Gilbert-22 Mets-17.4 Panthers-16.7 Memphis-14.6 I’d love Dan to own the baseball team.

I thought a few weeks ago the Guard was leading MLB in batting average. Now they are 13th which is still better than I thought. We'll see if they can keep a .250 BA while the MLB average is around .230.

Logan Allen and Bobby Bradley designated for assignment as they trimmed the roster to 26. Anthony Castro was also actives from the Covid IL and optioned to Columbus.

Agreed. Time to let Owen Miller play full time.

Guardians lose opener 3-1 . You will see all year pitching will keep them in games but with this line up if the opposing team scores 4 runs or more it’s an automatic L. Good Job Dolans! Keep saving that cash ! Well I am beyond wrong this teams hitting has been much better than the pitching so far didn't see that coming before the season. What a game last night! Josh Naylor with 8 RBIs in 3 pitches for the come back win when they were down 8-4 in the bottom of the 9th. If you haven't yet you need to watch the video of Naylor being a psycho after the 3 run homer in the 11th it's electric lol.

Tribe vs White Sox cancelled for 5/11 due to a covid outbreak within the Cleveland organization. It was announced earlier that Tito had tested positive, but it's obviously spread to others on the team. Ugh.

It's not dangerous. I just had Covid a few weeks ago. I have a vaccine shot + 1 booster (I will not be getting anymore boosters that they keep recommending every 6 months now it is) and I had a sore throat and a little heavy eyes and it was gone in 4 days. It's the Flu idc what anyone tells me and the COVID booster is now the new Flu shot if you want it get it if you don't... don't . Time for sports to move on as well as most people have.

Except, I can never remember 6 players on a bAseball team during the summer getting the flu at the same time.
During that 4 day period, could you have pitched 6 innings or stood in the sun in center field for 9?
My grandson, the healthiest 19 year old you can imagine, runs track and CC for BW. He got covid and after two weeks of their protocols ran a 5000 meters and was 30. seconds off his PR. A week later at another meet he set a new PR by 5 seconds. One just never knows.

Time for this team to go on a little run here lots of winnable series coming up. The next 8 series starting today are against the Reds, Tigers, Astros, Tigers, Royals, Orioles, Rangers, and A's. Only the Astros are above .500 out of those teams.

After the hiccup against the Reds, they ended up making quite a bit of hay against some of the poorer teams. Now the schedule steps up a bit but it was nice to see this team win 2 out of 3 in Dodger Country.

They currently are one game behind Minnesota for first place in the Central. Also out of their next 11 games, 8 of them will be against Minnesota. Who would’ve thought this at the start of the season.

This team is set up for great success in the future and another world series contention window could be opening. They're already the youngest team in Baseball and right now at the moment seem to be competing for the AL Central (Yes still tons of baseball to be played). But they have the number 1 ranked farm system and most top 100 prospects in the Majors according to MLB.com. The future looks good for this team and the minority stakes owner David Blitzer just went official so you would think that would help infuse some more cash into the team.

This team is very young and this 18 games in 16 days stretch has caught up to them. I fear this is what this team is really supposed to look like this year and this poor stretch is more of what you will see than opposed to when they won 17 out of 21.

August 12th and the youngest team in baseball continues to prove me wrong and surprise me. With 51 games to go the Guardians are in first of the AL Central being 1 game up on the Twins. With 9 top 100 prospects more than any other farm system and their clear cut top prospects not even hitting the Majors yet this team is set up nicely for the future.

I really don’t like the name change, but that being said this is a fun team to watch. They play hard and are never out of it. It’s a shame the pitching has been a bit disappointing, but nobody would’ve predicted they would be in first place in August. They may fade, but it’s still been fun to watch.

Pitching?? Pitching has been pretty darn good. Bats have been pretty inconsistent. But agreed fun to watch. My wife and I watch darn near every game that starts before 8pm.

cleveland has plethora of games with Central foes rest of season, mostly with Twins. When all said and done, 9 losses to Motor City Kitties could be difference -- that and managers continued insistence to play the minor leaguers at keu positions (Freeman at ss and Butcher Miller at 1b especiaally). Miller will generally drop one throw a game while at first base

Rosario has played in 112 out of 118 games thus far and to the best of my memory almost all were at SS.Maybe a couple games at 2nd. If resting him for 6 games to let Freemen spell him kills us then Tito should be fired. Miller at 1st?? Most of the time that's Naylor. That's not an issue either. Losing to the Tigers could be an issue I somewhat agree but those games are behind us and we are still in 1st so the prize is in front of us not in the rear view.

It's a miracle he's even playing this year. after his terrible looking broken leg last season. Miller MUST play some games for Naylor, allowing his pain to subside. usually against lefties

ghs1999. I thought you might be able to enlighten me on how disappointing our pitching has been. Last 12 games. Small sample but still pretty impressive slice of a season starters 5-2 2.30 era 74.1 innings 13 walks 65 SO opp batting avg .204 bullben 4-1 2.41 era 33.2 innings 8 walks 50 SO opp batting avg .203 Possibly best closer in baseball. You've got to watch the game to understand.
