Michigan is riding some major momentum into signing day Wednesday. Not surprisingly beating OSU and winning the B1G opens up a lot of doors. Since the game Michigan has landed.
4* OT Andrew Gentry 4* S Zeke Berry
Both Gentry and Berry are top 100 nationally and top 10 at their positions nationally. Signing day could be a big one for Michigan with the likes of 4* S Keon Sabb and 4* WR Darius Clemons likely to pick Michigan. It’s nice to have some momentum on the trail again.
It also appears Michigan is on pace to land Virginia transfer Olusegun Oluwatimi. Oluwatimi was a rimmington finalist this year and arguably the best run blocking center in the country. Not news I’d be hoping for if I were a buckeye fan. That new DC better toughen up that front four because Michigan’s line is likely going to be better next year than it was this year.

A definite improvement over signing 2*s from Connecticut No doubt. Is OSU done or will they be sweating it out on signing day?

Urban sweated it. Even Saban sweats, if he doesn't he should retire.

BTW, it is "early signing period", there is only one signing day. Yeah pretty much everyone outside of you just calls it early signing day. Hell most of the coaches even call it that.

I call it 'early signing day'. Can't ignore there are two signing periods.
Another great recruiting class for the Buckeyes, currently #4 in the 247 recruiting rankings. The big surprise we have our fingers crossed for Hero Kanu DL. Omari Abor, a DL out of Texas has been a heavy Buckeye lean, but Texas has been courting him heavily the past few weeks, would be another great addition, if he comes through. It will be interesting to see if Texas native Terrance Brookes CB, can be lured back to his home state, as he is getting the full-court press from the Longhorns.
I have lingering thoughts, of the prospect of Jim Knowles possibly luring one of his defensive recruits in these waning moments. There's always room for surprises.

The top player in the country just flipped from Florida State to Jackson State… there’s something you never see happen. Crazy.

The top player in the country just flipped from Florida State to Jackson State… there’s something you never see happen. Crazy. Why would the so-called 'top player in the country' be signing with a train wreck of a program in the first place? Academic or some other nefarious problem going on here.

Reports are, Texas is throwing money around like a drunken sailor. Wouldn't be surprised to see them get nabbed for some form of recruiting violation.

With NIL there basically isn’t recruiting violations anymore. This is all being done by boosters and other wealthy alums. Not saying the football program isn’t connected but it’s a free for all now.

NIL just legitimized the once, sleazy, behind the scenes so-called alumni that were basis for so many major scandals of the past. I have a sneaking suspicion, NCAA has their legal team and investigators, quietly working overtime gathering information and facts, while giving everyone plenty of rope to hang themselves. Then, the noose will tighten and certain programs will literally hang themselves. Mark my words on this. NCAA is not dead.....yet. (I detect a faint pulse...lol) The courts have not been friendly, resulting in the initially good intensions, in the name of fairness, has transpired into a free-for-all chaos and only going to get worse. As the show hosts on ESPNU described it this morning, the return of the wild, wild, west.

Things probably couldn’t have gone any better for Michigan today. Only major hiccup was getting outbid by Kentucky for Deone Walker. Michigan landing Keon Sabb and Darrius Clemons was big time.

If I were you I’d get used to the idea of Texas not being a large part of OSU’s recruiting foot print going forward. OSU has done extremely well in Texas over the last ten years landing stud after stud. With Texas and Texas A&M paying up its going to be hard for OSU or anyone for that matter to get those kids out of state.

College Head Coaches are now basically the CEO of a huge company with NIL in place. Need to get investors to buy into your brand and hire the best talent. Barstool sports gave 1.5 million to Travis Hunter to flip from Florida St to Jackson St.

The mega donors at P5 schools will do these types of things. There’s a similar situation underway at Michigan. I still don’t believe it will help pull kids out of states like Texas. Schott has lots of money but it’s a drop in the bucket compared to vast wealth of Texas oil Barron’s and they love themselves some football.
