I see that 2022 Ashland grad, Luke Denbow pulled is commitment to West Liberty and is now committed to Anderson University in S.C.
As an added bonus his older brother who is a 2019 grad and has already played a two other schools and sat out a season, will join him.

Ontario is 275 = D2 Shelby is 247 = D2
both would be good fits into the OCC for travel. Shelby wanted in but West Holmes was against. Drop WH and NP and bring them in and be a closer travel league.

No, still D2 according to a link I saw on that "other site". It looked like Norwalk and sandusky were 2 of the biggest D2 teams in the state.

Norwalk is 348 in basketball which makes them D2. Football and basketball have different CB numbers.

I saw where lex played 4 D-1 teams in Garfield Hts., Stow Monroe Falls, Lima Sr. and Toledo St. Francis Desales. There were 100 teams from Ohio and Michigan involved all pretty much top shelf competition. Many coaches from several colleges in attendance also, including Ohio State, Michigan, Purdue, and Michigan State.

Lexington also participated in the camp up at Findlay earlier in the week seeing some pretty good competition there as well. I believe Lima Shawnee and Findlay.

Here is an excerpt the Lexington Basketball Facebook page.
"Lexington's Baden Forup has the Minutemen as the favorite to win the Division II district championship in 2022-23. 20. Lexington Boys Basketball
And then there is the most recent Division II Richland County boys basketball team to play for a district title.
The Lexington Minutemen nearly upset the No. 1 overall seed last season in the district championship game last season falling to Huron 46-39.
And when you look at who the Minutemen bring back in 2022-23, it is hard to not see them getting back. Baden Forup returns for his senior year after earning special mention All-Ohio honors by scoring 15 points and pulling down eight rebounds a game as a junior.
He is joined by fellow big man Hudson Moore who scored 10.6 points and added 6.6 rebounds a night as a junior. AJ Young will likely be the starting point guard after leading the team in assists with 45.
Elijah Hudson also returns and will see his role increase as he brings a different dynamic to the team while Alex Depperschmidt, Jaxx Lamp, Jamarrion Feagin, Gavin Husty, Carter Newman, Terrance Corbin, Jaxon Brown and Will Perkins add depth and defense to the lineup.
Lex will also see Brayden Fogle make the jump from middle school to high school. He possesses the skills to make a huge impact at the varsity level as the nationally-ranked eighth-grader has been turning heads all summer long and has already picked up two Division I offers from Youngstown State and Radford University.
The Minutemen have plenty of talent coming back and the all-time wins leader in coach Scott Hamilton. It might be district title of bust this season, but the future looks awfully bright, too."

Here is Lex schedule for 2022/23...
Fri Nov 25 7:30 PM vs Clear Fork Fri Dec 2 7:30 PM @ West Holmes Sat Dec 3 6:30 PM vs Clyde Fri Dec 9 7:30 PM vs Ashland Tue Dec 13 7:30 PM vs Madison Comprehensive Fri Dec 16 7:30 PM @ New Philadelphia Sat Dec 17 6:15 PM vs Marysville Fri Dec 23 7:30 PM @ Mansfield Senior Tue Dec 27 7:30 PM @ Ontario Fri Dec 30 6:00 PM @ Mount Vernon Tue Jan 3 7:30 PM vs Wooster Fri Jan 6 7:30 PM vs West Holmes Fri Jan 13 7:30 PM @ Ashland Sun Jan 15 3:00 PM @ Fort Loramie MLK Classic vs St Marys Memorial Fri Jan 20 7:30 PM @ Madison Comprehensive Tue Jan 24 7:30 PM vs New Philadelphia Fri Jan 27 7:30 PM vs Mansfield Senior Tue Jan 31 7:15 PM @ Galion Fri Feb 3 7:30 PM vs Mount Vernon Fri Feb 10 7:30 PM @ Wooster Sat Feb 11 6:30 PM @ Ottawa-Glandorf Tue Feb 14 7:15 PM @ Shelby
Looking like a tough and competitive schedule. What catches my eye are a few things.
New Philadelphia is now in the OCC so a home & home with them. The have had a very solid basketball program over the years.
We will travel to Fort Loramie in January for the MLK Classic and will play St. Mary's Memorial which features 6'10" Austin Parks at center. He is going to Ohio State next year. They defeated Huron last season in the Regional Semi.
Ottawa-Glandorf is one of top teams in the state regardless of division. Also features some really good players. I believe Collin White is one of their better players.
Shelby with Bruskotter (sp) will be a really tough out especially on there floor.
Marysville- don't know much about them except they probably more known as a football school. But they a div I (672 boys). So they could be a tough one.
The OCC is always a meat grinder you have to come ready to play every night.

Haven't heard much but things are just starting to heat up. A few things I see in the OCC this year.
1. Lexington is going to be good. Bring back a lot from last year, obviously the Freshman is going to be one to watch, I also think Scott Hamilton is one of the best coaches in the OCC, thing they are going to have a nice little run over the next few years.
2. OCC new comer New Philly will definitely add some more competition on the basketball side. Solid program that should make an impact right away.
3. Last years OCC Champion Ashland will have to learn to play without OCC player of the year Luke Denbow, but still bring back a solid core lead by All Ohio HM Grayson Steury. Ashland also has the second best freshman in the OCC Nathan Bernhard who will probably be starting.
4. I think overall the league should be pretty competitive this year. Outside of Lexington I don't see anyone that bad or that great. Should make for some fun basketball this year.
