I found this tidbit interesting on the Frost firing. Had Nebraska waited until Oct 1 his buyout was $7.5 mil. By firing him before that date his buyout was $15 mil. It cost Nebraska taxpayers $7.5 to dump that guy 2 weeks early rather than later. There is little chance that will be paid by taxpayers and not a wealthy Nebraska Booster who wanted it done now.

The hastiness makes it sound like they have someone specifically in mind and they are confident they can reach an agreement. Also sounds like the AD or boosters have been doing a little shopping behind Frost's back. Probably began the night of the overseas debacle....lol

Remember when Jim Tressel and Urban Meyer had Michigan's number for 20 years? I do, it's sad that those days are gone because of the hire of Ryan "Not a real Buckeye" Day. It's now been 1,021 days since Ohio State last beat Michigan. That is absurd. It's year 4 of the Day regime and he only has 1 win vs Michigan and that was with 100% Urban Meyer recruits. I have shirts in my closet I can no longer wear because of Ryan Day, you can't wear Ohio State dominating Michigan shirts when it's been over ONE THOUSAND DAYS since Ohio State last beat Michigan. Ryan Day has made a mockery out of Ohio State.

Why were Tress and Urban both asked to step down before they wanted their head coaching days at Ohio State to be over?

What exactly makes him an outstanding coach? He has been a head coach for 6 full seasons and had one winning record? He was the OC & QB coach at Oregon, mentoring Marcus Mariota. He turned the floundering UCF football program around and coached them to an amazing 12-0 season in 2017, where they claimed the mythical National Championship. Things didn't go so well for him at Nebraska, but not sure even Saban would have had much success with questionable talent on their roster. Scott Frost, given the right opportunity, can still make a case for himself in today's college football world. Word out of Lincoln is that Frost would show up to practice late and at times hungover. Sounds like head coach material

That would make sense Great family and I think a decision like this would not only be a lone decision by Lorenzo, but a group, family decision. This would be a huge win for the Buckeyes, if it were to happen.

Every year we hear “Miami is back!” And it’s never true. Getting blown out by Middle Tennessee State right now.

Every year we hear “Miami is back!” And it’s never true. Getting blown out by Middle Tennessee State right now. It’s surreal watching how far Miami, Florida, FSU and Texas have fallen. When I was younger those teams were so dominate and now they are teams you just overlook on the schedule.

Auburn just tied Texas Tech at the last second of regulation They did? He did. But then one of his teammates fumbled on the first play of OT and TTU went on to win with a short FG.

I have become enchanted with little 'ole James Madison this year, located in Harrisonburg, Virginia. James Madison moves up to D-I FBS this season, after joining the Sun Belt Conference. A long time prominence in FCS, making the playoffs 8 years straight and making the National Championship games in '17 and '19. Fourth year coach Curt Cignetti has insane goals for the program, to gain prominence in FBS. “I think we can be a force at this level,” fourth-year coach Curt Cignetti said. “Our goal is to play in that College Football Playoff.” The Duke's are undefeated this year and recently defeated App. St., who is having another great year and recently defeated Texas A&M and took North Carolina to the wire. If you want to read a most interesting story of this football program that sees no limits to their future endeavors, a most interesting read. www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2022/09/30/jmu-football-fbs/

Oklahoma's defense sucks as bad as Iowa's offense. TCU quarterback tucked and took it 67 yards untouched for the TD, to go up 20-3.

A friend asked me this question for which I had no answer - how does iowa's offensive coordinator keep his job? What a pathetic excuse for a major football program offense.

Early on I thought Georgia was the clear #1 team in the country but after their last two games I’m not sure if there is any gap between them and Ohio State anymore. Basically take your pick of Bama, OSU, and Georgia as the #1 team, there’s not one clear team right now.

Basically take your pick of Bama, OSU, and Georgia as the #1 team, there’s not one clear team right now. I know the AP & Coaches polls remained the same this week, but voters ignore the events on the field IMO. I'm like you, thought Georgia was a solid #1 early on, but their play against average teams has them at #3 1. Alabama 2. Ohio State 3. Georgia
