Early on I thought Georgia was the clear #1 team in the country but after their last two games I’m not sure if there is any gap between them and Ohio State anymore. Basically take your pick of Bama, OSU, and Georgia as the #1 team, there’s not one clear team right now. I think most of college football is down this year, even the heavy hitters like Bama and Georgia look much more vulnerable than last year. The pandemic along with NIL has thrown things into flux. Regarding Nebraska and Frost it looked to me like Frost had a very tenuous grip on the program. He was gritty and a fighter as a player but it seemed to me that the players were stretching the limits in terms of physicality, in other words there were times when they were a dirty football team. Being physically imposing is fine, but I recall more than a few times where replay after a penalty showed Nebraska players doing screwy things like twisting legs/ankles of opposing players in the pile. I didn't think that they were a disciplined team under Frost. As I watched a bit of Indiana/Nebraska yesterday Mickey Joseph was giving an earful to a player that had just gotten a personal foul penalty. Joseph or whoever gets the HC position has a big job ahead of them cleaning up the culture.

well a long night for virginia. they lost to duke(4-1)i dont believe they are that good, usually are cellar dwellars.duke put it to virginia 38-17.as far as stats going: Brennan Armstrong was only 19-37 passing for 202 yards, yards per pass 5.5,1td,1 int, rushing 8 for 23 yards, 1 rushing td,punted once for 26 yards.for team stats duke had 26 first downs to virginia's 19,on third down virginia 8-14 to duke 5-13 on 4th down, virginia 0-0 duke 2-3.rushing duke 249 to virginia 93,passing virginia 202 yards to duke 129.total offense went to duke 378-295 yards by UVA.each team with a sack, virginia with 2 turnovers to duke 0 and duke had the ball almost 12 minutes longer than UVA.UVA has Louisville next week. Armstrong had a lot of players that helped him look like a Heisman contender going into this year. BUT, most of them graduated last year. After this year he'll most likely be a late round pick or a FA signing.

After this year he'll most likely be a late round pick or a FA signing. And has a new head coach and offensive coordinator. A completely different scheme that is clearly not working for him. Many say he should've transferred when Bronco Mendenhall left but Armstrong stayed because he wanted to remain loyal to his returning wide receivers. I don't think he thought it would turn out this bad. Unless things turnaround, I think he'll go undrafted.

A no.1 i agree with you about Brennan.Well Brennan Armstrong after getting a 10-0 lead against louisville, had a fumble at louisville 18yard line with a 10 -0 lead driving for more points.and that was the beginning of the the end for Armstrong and VIRGINIA. THE big stat was the rushing game.virginia had 6 net yardsand was outrushed 198-6,sacked BRENNAN 6 times for 35 yards, and virginia was outgained in total offense by louisville 473 to 319 yards.virginia had 8 penalties for 66 yards and time of possession in favor of louisville 34:54 to virginias 25.06. so Brennans stats were passing 24-34 for 313 yards 1 td,1 rushing td,14 rushes for -7 yards,2 ints and a lost fumble. thankfully UVA is off next saturday but plays georgia tech the following thursday night.they are last(6th in coastal division of ACC.Georgia tech is bad and if UVA loses to them then they are headed for dead last.if they dont get a rushing attack to go with brennan, then he continues to get sacked and by the end of season, i agree with you A no.1 unless things turn around i think he might go undrafted.

Jimbo Fisher had a chance to beat Alabama on the last play of the game and came up with one of the worst calls I’ve ever seen. What a low percentage play.

If they were going to call that PI on the previous play they might as well have called it on the last play, but how horrible and vanilla of a call by Jimbo. FSU had a chance too and throw a pick to end it when they’re only down 2…… that’s a 97.1 the fan moment “YIKES!.”

I expect Texas A&M to be ranked next week after such a great loss! Might as well. SECPN just had an article that the playoffs still run through the SEC. Tennessee and Ole Miss are now in the same realm as Georgia & Alabama, per SECPN. Que the homering.

Michigan received a gimme from the officials to start the game. PSU held them on downs and a flag for unessary roughness, where the PSU defender was simply completing the tackle of the receiver. This was not a QB.

Even Penn State fans knew that was a penalty. It's known as a Turkey Jones in the football world. None of the Penn State coaches or players whined about it

Michigan takes the fifth ranked run defense in the country to the shed this afternoon. Bulldozed Penn State to the tune of 418 yards on the ground.
Jim Knowles and company better study hard because the games coming up soon and Michigans running game is better now than last year.

The question lingering in my mind, after the suspensions of 8 players from the MSU football team, are they able to enter the transfer portal and play for someone else?
Illinois has been an interesting study, after the head scratching loss to Indiana in week two, they have been a solid football team, relying on a good defense and the leading rusher in college football in Chase Brown with 1,208 yds. & 5 TD's. Will they be able to challenge Michigan in Ann Arbor on NOv. 19th?
I predict Alabama will lose again vs. LSU or Mississipi.
Penn State will end up 10-2 and ranked in the top ten.

Georgia is really good and so is Tenn and maybe clemson but sometime I'd love to see these teams play in B1G weather conditions like OSU did today.

So Georgia hammers Tennessee, but at the half in the evening games…
Michigan down to Rutgers 17-14 Clemson down to ND by 14-0 Bama down to LSU 7-6
Gotta love college football…
On a separate note, referees in between the teams in the tunnel… Good lord.. take off your skirts and get it done on the field you bunch of panty waists. The idea that MSU was so out of line a week ago and now the scUM and Rutgers need a referee separation wall? Act like men and not thugs!

two cheap, cheap pass interference calls were gimme's by the officials. favoring Clemson. ND has played impeccable defense the entire game.
PICK SIX NOTRE DAME!!!!
GAME OVER!!!!
