You are allowed to use a timeout when a player is shooting foul shots. Even though the clock was at 0 the game isn't over, so the coach is allowed to call timeout

The rule reads; Coaches may call a time out any time in a game when the clock is stopped. If the clock read 00:00, but the buzzer had not sounded we would still be in a game. If the clock read 00:00 and the buzzer sounded, are we in a game?
We are not in a game if it is before the opening tip has occurred. Coaches can't call a time out before the game starts.
The rule doesn't say, "a coach can call a time out any time when the clock is stopped".
A good question to be posed at the next officials meeting.

Rough night for the top teams in the OCC minus Ashland. Lexington and Madison both lose and Wooster got all it could handle from Clear Fork.
It's also funny to me how far West Holmes as a program has fallen. The talent might be down but they have chased away some good coaches that were in the process of building a program for short term success. It's coming back to bite them now.

Wooster #3 in the state travels to #2 Massillon Jackson tonight. Will the Generals finally taste defeat tonight? Wonder if it is being broadcast on Canton station?

I say this game will either catapult them to #1 or could drop them out of the top 10. Not seen them play much but they are a good team but may not be a top D1 team in the state.

Of course neither was Wooster but half their schedule is smaller schools so you must consider that.

Has there been anymore discussion about Wooster and West Holmes going in with Louisville, Marlington, Dover, New Philly, maybe Canton CC and Idle talk or what?

"lowly Senior" lmao. Mansfield is playing well right now.
Lexington had their chances to win this one, but many know without having to be told, the OCC is a very competitive conference. Which is obvious from last night's scores.

Terrible is not a word I would regularly use. If I did it was before I saw them play around Chrsitmas. Take out the 2 Wooster and St V games and they have been in every game and had a chance to win most of them at some point in the 4th quarter.

As Woody used to say. Teams never stay the same, they either get better or they get worse.

Lex has hit somewhat of a wall. They played terrible against Mount Vernon. Played well but still lost by a point at Ottawa Glandorf. They played very lethargic against an improved Senior High. Lex is a team lead by sophmores with very little senior leadership right now. The Sophmores are playing pretty well which may bode well for next year. But it could a short tourney run if they dont kick it into gear. Two dificiencies is they foul too much and there is 0 outside shooting. Lex has the potential to be very good even this season. But they have to figure it out quickly.

The only 2 Sophs on the team are the ones in leadership roles? None of the 5 Seniors and 3 juniors are leaders? That is problematic.

There are now 3 sophs seeing substantial playing time now. And one of the seniors has left the team.
