So the two best teams Wooster has faced this year they went 0-2 with a combined score of 166-105. Good news is they only have to beat one of these teams to win their district. Bad news is they wont make it that far if they keep playing like they are.

I don't think Wooster is playing any differently, they are just hitting much better competition outside of the OCC. Up to this point they could rely on their athleticism to win games. Can't do that when the other team is just as athletic.

Wooster is not playing different, they are just playing the teams they ran away from when they joined the OCC.

The OCC is o-3 in tournament action so far as W Holmes, Mt Vernon and Mansfield Sr have all been eliminated. Clear Fork, Wooster have winnable games, while Lex, Ashland and Madison are tossups. Good luck to the remaining teams.

and lexington goes down to sandusky tonight 42-33.lexington led at half 21-12 but was held to 4points in third and 8 points in fourth quarters. the sandusky player cant remember his name had 23 points .cade stover for lexington was a one man show for lexington as the minutemen had no outside shooting game as they were 1-18 from 3 point land. and with that they only got to free throw line 3 times making 2 plus 18 turnovers and that spelled defeat. even though im a edison alumni, i got to see a few lexington games on wmfd, and i got attached to them.even though sandusky is only 16 miles away,i was pulling for big lex. at the end though i couldnt help but be sad and cry for the lexington seniors especially to aj nickoli,he was ice cold tonight and when he was tooken out with a minute to go i coulndt help it that tears rolled down my face to see aj nickoli play his last basketball game for lexington,im sure his dad greg is proud of him. better days ahead for aj especially in spring sports.

Bad time to go 1-18 on 3-pointers. They made around 50% in the Semi-Final game. Lex should be the prohibitive favorite to win the District Title next year.

final scores at division 4 bowling green regional. mansfield st.peters 72 north baltimore 45 and delphos st.john 40 holgate 25 finals. holgate was their usual self took time off the clock before shooting it was delphos 19 holgate 14 at halftime.holgate had shot including 3 pointers in the first was 6-14 from the field then in the third quarter holgate scored 2 points and i think delphos go to the 4th quarter with a 7 point lead, was 23-16 delphos after 3 quarters and delphos outscored holgate 17-9 for the final of 40-25 dsj. so now on friday i will be cheering the spartans to beat dsj and go to state.

A very good draw for the Spartans. Outside of #2 St.Pete only 4 other schools from the AP Top 10 remain in the Sweet 16. Those 4 are in the other half of the bracket. St.Pete won't have to play one of them until the State Final game. If a coach believes in a deliberate offense his team better be ahead going into the 4th quarter. It's like an offense in football predicated on a running game. VERY hard to overcome a 2 TD lead in the 4th quarter.

With every team out the 2016-17 season concludes. Clear Fork will not be returning and the OCC will be 7 teams next season.

Funny how things happen. Trevor Smith transfers from Northwestern to Wooster for his senior year. Wooster loses first game of tournament. Northwestern is playing in regional finals.

Now that Clear Fork is officially out of the OCC and Wooster and W Holmes are exploring to the east, is it time that the Core 5 start exploring options south and west? The addition of Big Walnut, Delaware Hayes, and Marion Harding would be a good fit demographically. I-71 makes easy access to southern schools and Harding is more accessible with US 30 being 4 lanes to Galion. Pros and Cons? Just thinking out loud. Ironically, Lexington and Senior would be the 2 smallest schools. 7 team conferences suck.

If Wooster and West Holmes leaves, the OCC is in real trouble.
Harding to Ashland is 52 miles only 1/3 of that trip is on US 30. They're finally in their long wished for Conference, by far it's largest school. They're longest trip is 29 miles to Ontario.
Hayes is 65 miles to Ashland and Big Walnut is 57. In their current league neither have a trip further than 30 miles.
Without Wooster and West Holmes, New Philly and Dover won't be interested. New Philly is over 70 miles to Mansfield.
Shelby is the OCC's only possibility, but if there's the slightest chance that Wooster and West Holmes are leaving why would they take a chance on being in a 6 school league? OR if New Philly is in the OCC, its 80 miles from Shelby to New Philly.
Clear Fork would want no part of the OCC if it included New Philly. Clear Fork to New Philly is 62 miles. Clear Fork to Wooster is 36 miles. Clear Fork to Marion is 37 miles.
The OCC must do all it can to keep Wooster and West Holmes happy. JMO
You might not like 7, but it's MUCH better than 5.

malabar, with Clear Fork rumblings being what they are the MOAC could be short lived. If Wooster and WH leave Shelby may jump in the next day. Ashland understands their size and location very well and accepts their travels are a part of being in a league as they were okay with adding Dover and NP. With it looking like Clear Fork and Galion going back to D2, they could both be interested in joining a league with good proximity, good rivalries and good travels for fan support.
My suggestion malabar10, make it happen.
Mt Vernon Ashland Madison Mansfield Lexington
Shelby Clear Fork Galion
