i just saw the lexington-madison game and the longer the opponent is in the game the better the chances to win and that is what madison did.lexington was up 18-11 after 1 quarter and 31-24 and yet i felt it felt closer than that, lex shot well first half but gave up 6 offensive rebounds and makes turnovers to keep madison in the game.it was 2 guys for lexington, stover with 25 and one of the other big guys with 14.and madisons aijan had 4 in the first half but ended with 23.but where was the smallgus for lexington.i sear that a.j nickoli was sitting on the bench more than playing and it seemed he was not part of the offense tonight.i dont he scored tonight.we keep on seeing lexington weekness everygame i saw on wmfd tv,turnoversand giving up offensive rebounds.now with ashland and wooster coming up,they better get a lot better in a hurry or they will be staring at 2 losses.brian s said the ap poll this week had lex at 8th,but it will drop for next week. Upsets happen, when things like 2 starters have a bad night.

20 days after the incident at the Wooster vs Lexington game, that Wooster won 63-41, charges have been filed against fans that started a large fight in the stands behind the Wooster bench. 22 people were mentioned by name in the police report. Ty Stover, Trevor Stover, Robert Stover and Mark Hart were charged with Disorderly Conduct Fighting. Marquis Blair, Antonio Crossity and 2 juveniles were charged with Disorderly Conduct Taunting. The 3 Stovers have been banned from attending 8 games. The incident is still under investigation.

IMHO this is not the forum where names should have been mentioned. It would have been enough to say that 8 people were charged. 3 from Lex and 5 from Wooster. If people want more info the can read it in the papers. It was a very unfortunate incident and we can hope that it never happens again anywhere!!! I know your going to say its for public consumption and this is a public forum. But these people have hopefully learned a valuable lesson. Lets try to let things heal now.

I'm afraid I have to respectfully disagree. I feel that the more public shame brought to this crew of hooligans the less likely it is for a future incident to occur. Hopefully, the district will also learn from this and take better care in the future to separate the opposing fan bases. Quite frankly after witnessing first hand the behavior and language of some of the "parents" in the stands at the Clyde playoff game this season the only surprising thing to me about this incident was that it took this long for it to happen. The way they carried on about the coaches and refs you'd have thought that they were 0-10. If Lex's football coach is smart he'll head to greener pastures as soon as he gets the chance.

He only began coaching at Lexington when his son was playing. He is not looking for greener pastures.

Regardless of whether or not he had a kid on the team or not when he was leading them to arguably the best season in Lex's football history certain parents/fans would shut the f up and enjoy the ride. I'm telling you what I was hearing was unbelievable given the circumstances of their season.

I know your going to say its for public consumption and this is a public forum. But these people have hopefully learned a valuable lesson. Lets try to let things heal now. This is not a secret. Stories, with names, about those charged in instigating the fight were in or on: WMFD, MNJ, Richland Source, The Daily Record, WKYC TV AND Lexington High, Lexington OH News. Also, there is video and or stories about the fight in or on: Fox8, USA Today, Bleacher Report, MSN, Washington Post, YouTube, NY Daily News, Bucyrus Telegraph. Ohio.com, The USA Times, MaxPreps, yappi.com, 247Sports, Dayton News, WVNO, New York Magazine, Springfield News, WRGM and many more. Lexington made national news. Actually, you have more specific info than me. I didn't mention how many were from each school, or which were a fan of which schooL. Which is worse, for this to be in itsy bitsy North Coast, who has far fewer viewers than any of the above or for the story to be in the Washington Post?? JMO

i just got done watching the ashland at mansfield game and it was one of the ugliest games ive seen.to tell you the truth ashland had no business winning this game as mansfield senior outrebounded the arrows 24-11,ashland only 1 offensive rebound.if time of possession was kept mansfield sr had it ,they controlled the tempobouncing the ball side to side running the clock, but turnovers in the forth quarter and terrible free throw shooting cost mansfield senior from winning this game. now on tuesday night when mansfield senior plays at west holmes, this type of game will be ugly at millersburg.

Lexington 44 --Lex must regroup has Mount Vernon and Ottawa Glandorf next weekend. Wooster 67 --Wooster is just at at another level right now. Would like to see there game at Massilon Jackson.
Ashland 42 Mansfield Senior 41 -- Can a time out be called with no time on the clock? Could that have been a technical on the Arrows?
West Holmes 46 Madison 81
Mount Vernon 55 Clear Fork 61

I have seen a few people ask about the timeout at the end of the Ashland game. First if you have a time out to use you can't get a technical for using it. Now whether or not the officials should have rewarded it is another question. I'm not sure it should have, but it wouldn't have been a technical.

Why call a timeout when the game is over? To think you can ice the shooter. If the free throws were going to be shot after time had expired, there is no reason to award a timeout and the other team should not have been made to wait to shoot. IMO

Coaches will try anything they can to win. The coach can ask, he should have been refused.
Did Lex have a 15 point lead in the 1st quarter?
Dude? WTF???
