Does Madison look like a pretty good team or is Shelby down this year? IMO, Shelby won’t be quite as good as last year but this game shouldn’t be an indication of how their season will go. Lots of turnovers and poor shot selection all night. No rhythm on offense at all. The Jeffries kid for Madison is legit and if he can get a consistent supporting cast they will be okay. Tough conference though so wins may be hard to come by if others don’t step for the Rams.

Madison is a D1 program so it’s a good for local basketball when they have success playing the smaller schools in this area.

Shelby is going to struggle until they develop some team chemistry. Relying on one player to do it all won't work, others are going to have to step up to take the pressure off him.

What a win by the Tigers, this team is something. This team will complete for the conference because Galion's shooters can't be stopped. No team can guard Galion's shooters.

I heard that the Highland/Freddie finish was exciting. A desperation 25+ footer at the buzzer.. The first 2 options on the play set up with 15 seconds left did not want to shoot it.

Ontario's 2 best players, the Weaver brothers, both spent half the game on the bench with foul trouble. Last year Ontario had 1 letterman, this year 6. They rotate 9 players, 8 scoring tonight. Highland won the JV game by 1. Ontario won the Freshman game by 5, I think.

Watched the Harding Galion game and I don't think it was as close at the scoreboard says. Galion is improved, Kent and Chafin are a nice duo. Harding threatened to blow it open a couple times and couldn't hit free throws, or Galion would hit a couple shots. I think the Tigers are very improved. Many years before this game would have got out of hand. They seem to fight.

Hardings PG was out. They had 3 guys off the bench score double digits. Galion's Kent had 18 or 19. Long had 21 for Marion

Harding should have won by 20+. Every time it looked like it was going to go way lopsided, Kent would hit some tough shots for Galion. He had a timely 18, but fouled out with 3 minutes to go I think it was, maybe a little more.

SO...the reason Harding should have won by 20+ was because Kent fouled out with 3-4 minutes to play??
