That's an upgrade, I'd say...

Also an awfully small backcourt A glass half-empty person. According to Brian Windhorst the trade makes the Cavs better than everyone in the East besides the Celtics and Bucks

Love the Cavs, so I hope this works. Just pointing out that people didn't like Garland/Sexton together due to their size, and that doesn't change by bringing in Mitchell. Allen in the middle will help protect the bucket, as can Mobley. Cavs decided they are "all in" which is refreshing.

Night and day difference in talent between Spida and Sexton

Here's another down the road issue... you can only have 2 players on your team who have signed rookie max extension deals...Garland and Mitchell have both done so. What happens in a few years when Mobley is eligible for his extension? Will he take less? Or do you have to trade somebody? But for now, go Cavs!

I love the trade Mitchell is light years talent-wise ahead of Sexton. Hopefully, Okoro and the twin towers of Mobley and Allen can hold it down defensively as that will be the weakness of the backcourt with Garland and Mitchell. This team still needs to find a solid solution at the wing moving forward if they ever want to start talking championships. But for now, they got better and I believe they solidified themselves as a playoff team in the east that can make some noise.

CAVS go from having the tallest front court in the NBA to the shortest back court in the NBA

They would still be allowed to offer Mobley a 4 year deal, just not 5 years

I say this trade definitely worked out for the Cavs.
