Holy Name upset Elyria Catholic 42-25 and i saw shelby get pushed around by ontario , losing 35-28 to the warriors. it was tied at 28 with 29 seconds left and it was 3rd and two for ontario,so shelby thought they would run the ball.but shelby left a receiver wide open by 10 yards.so onnari qb threw a strike to the receiver and went in for a td with 22 seconds left.so shelby got the ball with 17 seconds left but couldnt move the ball and on 3rd down, shelby tried the lateralls but it went backwards ,hit the ground and ontario covered the ball.

Drew Pasteur has West Holmes, Glenville and Van Wert all well above everybody else, including your beloved Pirates to win the region. You may not know, or care, who he is but worth looking him up. Drew Pastuer has been wrong more than he has been right when it comes to the Pirates this year. Projected to Lose to PC... WRONG, Lose to EC... WRONG, Win vs JFK... WRONG, Lose to Huron.. WRONG, Lose to Bellevue.. WRONG, Lose to Tiffin... WRONG. Perhaps it is a good thing he doesn't give them much a chance. no more than usual

It could be Bellevue (8) v Galion (9) in the first round. Nice NOL throwback game.

I’m very interested to see how the final rankings fall and where our SBC teams path begins.
My top 5 1.) Glenville 2.) West Holmes 3.) Van Wert 4.) Perkins 5.) St. Mary’s Memorial
This wasn’t a top 5 standings FYI

Glenville with their 7th shutout in 9 games last night 😲. their league play is nothing to cheer about, but they have allowed only 35 points on the year. 35!!! That’s not only impressive, but you don’t do that without talent. Knowing highschool football however, they’re going to have to work for this regional title.

It’s called probability statistics fellas. You’re such a jackass… never offer up anything worthwhile. I was just stating how inaccurate he has been this year when it comes to Perkins. Two things he and yourself have in common.

The original post was about West Holmes, Glenville and Van Wert being well ahead of everyone else in the region. You’ll see that in round two but 10-2 and Lake Champs is a great year regardless.

I guess they shouldn’t play the game then. They got no shot just like they had no shot winning the SBC Lake this year. I would love to hear why you think VW and WH are that much better… WH has played a BS schedule(which they did dominate) and Van Wert is essentially the same team PC beat the brakes off last year.

Perkins greatest tool is finding mismatches and (obviously). #8 IMO is going to be a handful for any secondary player. He is talented.

One great argument I do have for the Pirates…. They handled TC, who in their own right beat a very quality team in Bishop Watterson. While you just can’t make the claim the Pirates would do the same to Watterson, I think it creates an argument and perspective of the Pirates are great, not just good. Once the ball snaps and the clock expires,we will see how the Pirates grade against the likes of West Holmes, Van Wert, or anyone else they play. I will say this, last year they handed PC that game and should have won had it not been for mental mistakes and not executing when they should have. If the Pirates can continue their current path and exceed it for the playoffs, I feel comfortable they will play for a regional title. The obvious big hurdle here though is where do they land in the rankings? Even one spot difference creates a different approach on their game plan and who they have to play to make it to the regional final. If the pirates make it to the regional final, first round is on me at the nearest watering hole, that has good food, near the stadium!!

Just a casual fan here so no, I haven’t watched Van Wert but strongly believe the WBL is much better than the Lake this year. PC got hot and yes, surprisingly rolled VW last year. Maybe the Pirates do the same but I’ve shared where my money is. We will see!

Might make your weekends a little better if you got rid of some of that hate.

this region can easily be one of the most competitive in the state. Should be fun to watch how it shakes out.

We ran for 300+ yards last year against VW explain to me how Vw handed it away. It’s not a knock on PC that VW couldn’t hang onto the ball when it hit their hands.

FWIW, Perkins does average 4.35 yards per carry and Isaac Bunts has averaged 5.1 YPC since he stepped in.

i wonder what the coaches told the kid who came from Bellevue - that it is no problem that "we can get you eligible"
did the margaretta kids that moved in meet with the coaches before they enrolled? take a tour of the locker room?
