Looks like the majority of competitive games for the MOAC will fall on Weeks 7-9. That's when most of the overlap with Shelby, CF, Highland, and RV occurs. And by competitive, I'm saying teams that will likely finish in the top half of the league.
Speaking of which, it will be interesting to see how Highland handles the other top dogs. I don't expect a brilliant showing, but I'm not thinking they'll turn out to be a doormat either.

Highland is slightly better than Ontario. Ontario had 5 turnovers in their game and a bunch of penalties.
Heck Ontario scored 31 in the first half against RV and led at halftime, then imploded in the 2nd half
That stuff is typical for a young team.....hopefully

If I had to put teams into tiers, it would be easy to justify throwing Ontario in that pack with Highland, RV, and even CF. The scores hardly suggest that the team that won would have won a vast majority of the time. I have a difficult time saying Shelby is in that pack thus far, but the schedule has also been very favorable for breaking in a freshman QB. Makes me want to say that they are 1a and the others are 1b or 2 in any such tier breakdown.

We will know a little more about Galion tomorrow night. My optimistic side hopes Galion can play with Shelby tomorrow night. I also held similar cautious optimism heading to Clear Fork last week. They are down at least 1 lineman maybe two, so it may just be another long disappointing season.

Some may view Galion beating Shelby as an upset but I don't see it that way. The Whippets haven't beaten anyone good and are still looking for that signature win. I doubt they get one this season. Their reign on the weak azz MOAC likely ends this year. Their last MOAC loss was to Galion. The Whippets, with a freshman QB, are a year or two from being a contender in Region 14.
The Tigers on the other hand have played a much tougher schedule than Shelby. Despite the score, Galion was in control for most of the game. A good win for the Tigers.
The MOAC is Clear Fork's to lose.

No kidding, Galion is going to be the top dog in the MOAC for the next few years. The 7th and 8th teams are rolling through league play and we will have everyone back next year. Galion will be the best team

well galionfan 13, theres 2 teams that would destroy galion in your region, west holmes, and cleveland glenville, glenville has way too much speed for you to compete and is one of the favorites to win division 4.

Just two? Van Wert would put a beat down on Galion. I’d actually like to see an old school NOL matchup between Bellevue and Galion in the first round.

Random thoughts. Highland is unbeaten in the MOAC but has played the bottom three teams. R Valley and Shelby are both 4-2 but have two non-league wins each over teams who are a combined 2-10. Galion and CF have the top strength of schedules. The Colts have played Lucas, Granville, and R Valley. The Tigers have played a brutal schedule against CF, Shelby, McComb, and Carey. Those teams are a combined 20-4. CF has Pleasant and Harding the next two weeks and should easily be unbeaten in the MOAC going into week 9. My power rankings after week 6. 1. CF 2. R Valley 3. Galion 4. Highland 5. Shelby 6. Ontario 7. M Harding 8. Pleasant

Galion made a statement last night, and they will beat every team they will face. No team can stop our running attack and we have the best offensive and defensive line in the state

all i can tell you galionfan 13 "you brag you snag". you have the ontario and pleasant at home but you have to go on the road against highland(4-2) in 2 weeks and end the season at river valley. you have a cupcake in pleasant, but ontario is capable of beating galion along with highland, but in the season finale, the only way galion will beat river valley is get in a shootout with river valley but i still dont see it happen.so someone must put something in your soda!
