I think the NBA is fantastic. The very best athletes in the world. The All Star game is just an exhibition where the players are just out to have fun and let their guard down.It was entertaining unlike a 62-41 college game with 24 TOs. It's not a competition it's an exhibition. Watch it that way and it's more enjoyable. Half court jump shots that hit nothing but net....pretty damn talented... and the dunk contest was very entertaining this year.

The dunk contest was good, the three-point shootout was good with the extra money balls. The game is unwatchable. Eight guys standing around while one guy dribbles in one spot trying to be Curly Neal with a "defender" actually bending his knees. Pinch me.
Yep, MLB is the only All-Star game worth a darn.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. My wife and I enjoyed it. Would I watch it 82 times a season like we do the Cavs? No,but once a season much fun. As far as "defender" you really must understand NBA bball and with that the convo goes well beyond an exhibition game. I for one didn't want to see a guy like Donovan Mitchell get hurt playing defense in an exhibition that is clearly played to showcase offense.

I just read that this years all star game was the least watched and lowest ratings ever for an NBA all star game. It was also far behind the NFL pro bowl game.

Mike Malone, Nuggets coach and head coach for Team LeBron:
"It's an honor to be here. It's an honor to be a part of a great weekend, great players. But that is the worst basketball game ever played," Malone said after the All-Star game. "I don't know if you can fix it. I give Joel Embiid, Kyrie Irving -- those guys were like, competing. Joel was imploring some of the guys to play harder, to try to get some defense in. No one got hurt, they put on a show for the fans, but that is a tough game to sit through. I'm not gonna lie."
Malone wasn't the only one who noticed, as fans and media alike remarked throughout the game about the quality -- or lack thereof -- during the 2023 edition.

An easy fix, have the NBA all defense teams play in prime time.

Beat the Raptors-check (finally) Siakam always goes off on the Cavaliers. For an average player it’s definitely a bit surprising.

Cavs are getting blown out by a good team again. Score is really closer than it really ever was. I’m not liking this teams play since the All star break absolutely no bench production and no 3 point shooting as of late.

They do have a lot of fight in them that’s for sure, but we need that fight earlier then when they make a little comeback.

Cavs players outside of Donovan and DG are shooting 28% from 3 since Feb 1st. The Cavs bench is also ranked 28th in bench scoring. The Cavs have a nice core 4 players in Donovan, DG, Allen, and Mobley but in the offseason and moving forward, it will be about finding bench production and shooters to complement these 4. Okoro 13-33 (39%) Cedi 14-45 (31%) Wade 8-27 (29%) Mobley 6-24 (23%) Rubio 5-22 (23%) Stevens 2-9 (22%) Levert 5-26 (19%)

Every time Mobley shoots a 3 the other team is probably thrilled.
Levert is just terrible. He might be one of the worst 5 foot and in shooters in the league. When's the last time he made a shot in the key that wasn't a lay up or dunk?

When's the last time he made a shot in the key that wasn't a lay up or dunk? I heavily advocated to trade for Levert last year before the trade deadline. It made sense with Sexton and Rubio hurt and Garland needing another ball handler beside him. However, now that the Cavs have Mitchell Levert is useless. He is a ball stopper who can't hit a shot and is super inefficient. This team needs shooters and they need multiple of them. These teams are giving up wide open looks to Rubio, Levert, Wade, Okoro and Cedi from 3 and they can't knock them down. This teams defense wins them games a lot of times but its hard to do that consistently against the NBAs Elite teams

Even with all these problems, I think the Cavs can beat the Knicks in the 1st round (even though they are 0-2 against them this year). The Knicks are 9-1 in their last 10 games which is troubling. And I see the Bucks passed the Celtics so they'll probably lose to the Bucks or Celtics in the 2nd round (even though they are 4-4 against the Bucks, Celtics and 76ers this year). Maybe Wade can find his shooting stroke. Levert is about the only 2nd team guy that can create his own shot late in the clock, but that's about his only value.

I'll give Okoro credit though, he has played, and shot, much better the last month or more. He's been knocking down those corner 3's much more consistently.

I can remember how most said it was a MUST to get Levert. As in baseball the best trades are made when the player is one year removed from when their skills begin to drop off. Cedi, Wade, Stevens, and Rubio are typical bench players when you have 4 core players like the Cavs have. I'm more concerned with being able to keep those 4 starters in coming years.

I also agree on beating the knicks, New York sports is on a depressing roll than what they were back in their prime.
