Well what do we think?
For me this may not be an actual concern, but at the end of day I wonder if having some of our talented players out, are we missing out on fine tuning that offense.

Actually, this could become a hidden blessing. The quality of the depth chart is getting much better than otherwise and gaining invaluable experience. As the season progresses, this could be a much better team than we could have imagined and reaching into the support players will be much less a question mark. I'd much rather have backups take the field with self confidence and some experience to go on.

With the apparent exception of the QB room at OSU there's no such thing as too much experience and too much depth. Nobody comes out injury free in a twelve game season and it could certainly work out that one (or more) of the home run hitters at WR could get injured as the season progresses. It seems like it's a bonus to have talented backups get quality reps early instead of asking them to step in later should a front-line receiver get hurt mid- to late season.

Wonder what the miscommunication on the pick 6 belongs to. I'm inclined to believe Egbuka ran the wrong route and was supposed to hook back and it was a mere timing route. Whether it's a QB or WR error, doesn't really matter at this point.

Ohio State’s defensive backs are a huge liability right now.

Ohio State’s defensive backs are a huge liability right now. They’re not impressing me the least bit. If they falter vs Michigan or in the playoffs (should they make it) it will be due to the secondary. The future looks bright in the back end, but the problem is that the future is now.

The paranoia over the DB is a bit much. The safeties have been adequate and the CB room is loaded with talent, but lacking suffient PT. The two freshmen inserted at CB against Rutgers, played quite well for having zero game experience. Fans need to be patient and understand this is a developing project and they will get a true test vs. Penn State. That game will give us a clear picture at where we stand, with the back-end of the defense.
