Ontario-35 Shelby-28 Final I quit watching after TWO fake punts by Shelby were successful to the same side of the formation in the first half. The 2nd came after a stupid running into the kicker penalty a couple minutes before half time gave Shelby another try at the fake punt!

Galion with the big win 56-49!!! Now its on to the playoffs, if I was the other team that Galion will face I would be shaking in their shoes because that was an offensive show tonight. No defense can stop the running attack all you do is give it to #2 and he will do the rest. When Galion goes up by two scores it is over. The defense showed up in the second half and only allowed 15 points so they defense can do it RV has a terrible defense, Ontario scored 31 against them in the first half

The running game came up huge.

And they just can't stand to take advantage of it the entire game. With 2 big fast tailbacks why keep trying to pass when its 2nd and 6 in 4 down territory?

i couldnt believe the shelby-ontario game tonight. saw it on wmfd tv and ontario was moving the ball all night. the stats showed that ontario dominated the stats it was a entertaining game probably the best game on wmfd all year. but i couldnt believe that shelby defense couldnt stop ontario. but i loved the ending where shelby brought everyone to the line of scrimmage figuring ontario would run.but they left ontario receiver wide open,so ontario qb threw a strike to his receiver and went in for game winning td 35-28.great game.

From my perspective Ontario and Shelby both have good offenses. Shelby’s defense has struggled all year.

Ontario coaches deserve a game ball tonight. Did a great job all way around. Completely surprised shelby on 4th and 1 td pass. Couldn't understand why shelby insisted on trying long passes into such strong wind. Shelby basically abandoned running game in 2nd half. Very entertaining g game

Disagree about the game ball. There is no excuse for one successful fake punt, let alone TWO in one half of football. If I was Shelby I would not have punted the entire game. Heck Shelby almost recovered an onside kick in the first half! Ontario's front 4 were lined up incorrectly and they had a short squat 2nd string lineman at the end of the 4 up front players, which should NEVER be the case. Give the Shelby coaches the game for good scouting and noticing weaknesses in Ontario special teams.

I hope Shelby enjoys the ride to West Holmes. At least Ontario has a shorter drive.

Personally, I think it's a positive for how the offense is conducted. The kicker has another year left, so I doubt this goes away anytime soon.

Shelby was up 28-14 in the Ontario game and I felt the loss coming. To be timely with my Halloween references, it was pretty obvious that Ontario was going to keep slogging their way closer like Jason or some other lumbering killer. We can score in bunches, but running teams destroy Shelby.
Luckily, West Holmes' best skilled position is probably RB, so we'll get another chance to see what I mean.

One fake punt was because the punt was going to get blocked so the punter took off, it wasn’t a designed play, Shelby blew two 14-point leads. Ran the ball 3 times after first possession of the second half, having the lead. Mismanaged the game second half. And gave up another 300+ yards rushing. Kid from WH will have over 300 himself week 11.

The downside of having most teams in the state make the playoffs. Did Lex luck out and NOT make the playoffs? Now it's time for Lex to get ready for basketball. So they can kick Ontario's @$$. DUH!! Everyone in this part of the state knows that will happen. Even though Dude and others to the south KNEW Lex had a superior football team than Ontario's even after Ontario won the game between the 2 teams Another dumb prediction by THE dude when he said, Ontario and Madison won't win more than 3 games between them. When in fact that number was more than doubled, thanks to Ontario Best just to keep ones yap shut so as not to embarrass one's self.

Even today many see Lexington as the better team on most ranking sites But I remember reading that post and I remember it being made about Lexington and Ontario being able to win a combined 3 games. I suppose he should have looked at the schedule of Ontario since they played a D7 school next and with what turned out to be three teams with 1-9 records. Nobody picked Ontario to beat Shelby. Good advice for the man in your mirror about the embarrassment of opening your yap.

"many, most"....they're no more expert than our little resident expert dude. BTW, not according to Joe Eitel and the OHSAA. They both have Ontario out pointing Lex by 11.4 to 5.1. They're the only ones who matter. OK, Lex instead of Madison, thanks for the correction. BUT, that makes dudette, looks even worse. Since it becomes a multiple of 3 wrong instead of just a multiple of 2. As Ontario and Lex won 9 games not 3.
ALSO, doing some research I found where the dudester predicted with assuredness that Shelby would be favored when they played Clear Fork. WRONG again!
THE dude knows all and sees all, I am 100% certain he knew exactly who Lex and Ontario played this year...DUH!! It changes very little from year to year.
19 out of 21 picked Lex to beat Ontario. How could they be so wrong, when THE dude himself boasted that OCC Lex was not just a little better than Ontario, but SUPERIOR! And that was AFTER Ontario beat Lex. Then 12 out of 19 said D7 Norwalk St.Paul would beat Ontario. Well, they are a private school. THEN the topper, 10 out of 19 said 0-2 Madison, who can't beat their way out of a wet paper bag, would beat 2-0 Ontario. THREE weeks in a row wrong.
YES, you are correct about one thing. No one in their right mind would pick Ontario to beat Shelby. PROOF that it's not wise to play these pick'em contests and embarrass ones self over and over again, like your pal does with regularity, not just on pick'em contests.
BTW, those three teams with 1-9 records? They would have been 2-8 if they beat Ontario. Your foot is in your mouth again, 2 of Lexington's 3 wins came against 1-9 teams LOL
Me embarrassed?? How can that be? When by example everything above is correct and factual. Prove otherwise.
Thanks for playin', I await your next try with glee.

All I have to about Ontario football. Well 2 things. The Warriors were better than I thought they would be. And good luck at Arlin Field versus the TYgers.

Luck will be of little help as you know. They don't have the athletes to match up with Senior. Like Lex, Ontario's athletes are better suited for the country club sports.
