BV and PL split games Wednesday. BV wins 2-1 in susp game. Lose 8-5 I think in 2nd. BV lead until 6th, PL took lead in B of 6.BV left starting pitcher in too long, opposite of night before when they took starter out only giving up 1 run in 4. So BV try's to stall with lightning in the area. Change pitchers couple times. They thought if inning didn't end and game was called, which it was, the score went back to the 5th, the last completed inning.

Harding finished game with rv from couple weeks ago wins 8-2. Loses second one in 7th , can't agree with the umpire on any of those calls. But anyways they split.

Alder wins 18-3 over North Union. Alder bangs out 18 hits. With the win and a Galion loss against pleasant they clinch at least a share of the MOAC.
Big game tomorrow vs state ranked Lakewood.

Seen alder won that game in walk off style^ Great game, probably the best team alder has faced so far this year. Trailed 1-3 in the 4th, tied it in the 5th. Back to back doubles in the bottom of the 7th to win it. 14-1, team chemistry looking really good. This team doesn't give up too easy, finding ways to win late has been the M.O.

Alder clinched the MOAC outright with the win tonight. Great game. Home plate ump had no idea on the strike zone. Alder has now won 33 straight MOAC games, last team to beat them was Buckeye Valley. Last road trip to Galion, thank god.

Alder falls to Galion 2-5. The streak has been snapped. Bats were mostly silent tonight, poor defensive and pitching tonight by the pioneers, Galion played well.
Harding & Bexley to close out the week.
Tournament brackets selected this Sunday, need to finish strong for a top seed in D2.

Falls is a nice way to put it. More of a Clown Show, and that's offensive to clowns and the entire circus industry.

Falls is a nice way to put it. More of a Clown Show, and that's offensive to clowns and the entire circus industry. It's been bad for couple years. The inability to know when to keep a pitcher in or take him out amazes me. Not stealing when you struggle to score and catcher has a hump in his throw. Getting thrown out rounding bases when your run means nothing is becoming a habit. AD has shown in other sports he's not against change.

Gates of Babylon: Amazes me how you complain about your teams on this forum. I have no dog in this race, but come on man! Sounds to me like you need to apply for the head coaching jobs at your school for the sports your son plays since you obviously have all the answers EVERYTIME your teams lose. Your basketball coach was back to back coach of the year in your conference the last few years and is arguabley one of the best coaches in this league yet you complained about basketball; now it seems as if it's baseballs turn. I don't get it man. Maybe realize that your kid isn't as good as you think he is? Too many people like you are the reason coaches get run out of this profession. I've seen a lot of sports teams in this league over the years and trust me, your schools teams are by far not the worst. People like you are cancers to programs. Just telling you how I feel when I read all this garbage you post. I look on this thread to read positive things about the MOAC teams but constantly come across your negativity. Like I said, maybe YOU should apply for these jobs since it sounds like you have all the answers. Good luck to all MOAC teams in the tournament.

brownsguy, Gates is spot on with a lot of what he says about in-game mismanagement, and it has been an ongoing issue. I'm hearing rumblings of off the field issues as well that, if true, the administration will be forced to deal with. IMO, the program is in a state of disarray because there is no idea of how to run a program, and it goes beyond just coaching on the field. You can do and think what you want, but I would suggest not being so judgemental without being aware of everything that's going on.

BTW, congrats to Alder on their MOAC title. That is an example of a well-run program.

A lot of good talent coming up in the Jr high programs is all three sports for BV from what I've personally seen. I think BV will be a player in football/Basketball/Baseball for the next several years if everyone can work together. You can't control everything but the talent is coming very soon.

BTW, congrats to Alder on their MOAC title. That is an example of a well-run program. Hoping for a good postseason run this year, Alder has stubbed there toe the last 2 years in 1 run games. This season appears to be different, but you never know. Brackets come out Sunday. The only team I would like to see them avoid is Watterson in the districts. If they can get out of the Districts then whatever happens at that point is gravy IMO.

JA beat Harding like 11-4. Was called early. Pitching hurt Harding, starter there best pitcher just didn't have it this game. And the ump wasn't consistent at all. But every JA batter can smack the ball, damn.

Brownsguy I really don't want to even comment, but Gates is 100% dead nuts on, regarding baseball. No comment on hoops. The first thing wrong in your post is you used coach in your post regarding Baseball. You don't get to use that word, by being a lineup maker. Coaches teach, instruct, lead by example. None of that going on here. The 2nd issue is you used the word Program. That is laughable. BV does not run a program. Its more of a Participation Sport. We laugh among ourselves that each kid should get a medal and a team pop after the games. Without you knowing the state of the "program", you really don't have any idea what we live with. I could rattle off 50 things that would make you cringe, and as my friends who are scattered among many programs around the state say, and I quote "there is no way that is true, or "you are making this up". Oh but it is true, and its a sad sad state. Things that make you go hmmmm. Lots of em.

For Alder, assuming they get 6 players like last year in the red: 1st Team: Eisnaugle Gehres Duckworth 2nd Team: Maynard Smith HM: Beachy As for the other schools based on what I saw when Alder played them: BV: Ulrich & Tobin NU: Neel MH: Booker (struggled against us but has the stats) RV: Doubkin brothers Pleasant: Pytlarz Galion: Hatfield & Bebout

JA is sure to get quite a few based on their record.
Don't know much about most of the teams, but Newell at NU is their best hitter and a good fielder. Hopefully he will get a mention.
Just curious what stats you like for Booker. Gabe Detwiler for MH is their best hitter right now, and is prob their best fielder as well. Also like Robby Lindsey for pitching.

I liked the lead off hitter for MH, is that Detweiler? He played well against us. Lindsey struggled to throw strikes against us last night but his ERA was low coming into the game. We hit him pretty well. Bookers Batting average, slugging %, rbis were pretty strong. He didn't pitch well against us and had some key errors in both of our games. He also struggled at the plate in both games.

Yeah booker played bad both games against alder. His first swing last night got under it a bit, thought it was going deeper. Yes detwiler is lead off. Lindsay shouldn't have pitched last night Ja seen him the first game. Knew what he was bringing. And yeah ump missed some strikes then got in his head+ errors led to a bad outing for him. Figure he'll get honareble mention atleast. JA will prob get 6 atleast

Nu- Neel seems to be one of there best. Pleasant- pytlarz JA- idk names but there's literally 6 that could be haha. Rv- doubkin brothers maybe Reichhardt Galion- don't know a whole lot. Think there ace is good? Harding- detwiler, Lindsay, booker. Bv- don't know that team well either ** only put in teams/players I am familiar with. And IMO. with 3 selection teams they're will be 3 for a team atleast and then some teams will have 4-5-6

As you've stated BG, you have no clue what goes on at BV or anywhere else I'd guess. As for basketball, get along with coach Gast and we've never had problems. Thx to him and Scott T my son will be going to college to play basketball after just 1year of playing. He lead team in minutes which will only help him moving forward. No problems with Gast, he will have BV at top of league in 2 yrs and I will be there to see it all, unlike you. As for baseball, my son plays, and only thing he cares about is winning and doesn't care who gets it done. BD and WH are correct. Baseball program is in bad shape but you know that right, you've seen all their games. BD, I know the off field things you speak of and surprised they haven't been delt with already. As for me coaching, I have coached at BV before and loved every min of it, that's why it sucks to watch these kids not be given a better chance to win. JA dad I think you are correct as well the future is bright but only if they get right guidance. Ga
