I know this is a baseball board and NU lost an alumn this past Friday and a great man and friend. Donnie Parrett passed unexpectedly. Thoughts go out to the NU community and Donnies family and friends.

Gates, Agreed, and if what I'm hearing is true, I can't believe he is being allowed to finish the season. If true, should've been done on the spot.

And sayre missed multiple ground balls Friday, what started the bad inning, along with booker. What were the teams tourney draws though? Harding got whetstone which I expect them to beat.

When he went to pleasant he had very positive energy around him and play great. But as a former baseball player, we all go through that time and he will find away to get threw it. Just hopes he doesn't get to frustrated with him self to the point where he gives up the game. Could see him playing d1 ball in the future.

Hardings having first winning season in few years, he's in a slump forward the end. But has had a solid year for being a sophomore. D1 in the future I see as long as keeps working.

Alder draws the #1 seed in the Central District D2. Appears to have a good shot at getting to the District final vs. Watterson which I was hoping to avoid but may not see there #1 start assuming he pitches in the District semis.
Alder plays the winner of Whitehall/Linden McKinley, assuming they move on afterwards they would play Bexley/LV/Heath winner.
Alder beat LV/Heath earlier this season but that doesn't mean much in tourney play.
Watterson regular season game is on for tonight, Alder has 2 starters out that should be back come tourney time. Looking forward to seeing how good Watterson is and who we pitch against them.

Not many on the team don't have a problem with coach Mac haha. That's why the team Attitude/ positivity hasn't been the best.

Alder falls to Watterson 1-2.
Couldn't cash in twice with bases loaded with our lead off hitter up both times who's been red hot.
We pitched our #2, they pitched there #3 or #4.

I bet JA beats them with a healthy lineup.

I bet JA beats them with a healthy lineup. Hope so. Both teams have to get there, hope we don't have to see there ace Dockman who's going to Duke. He's really good. Couple good signs from tonight, our #2 went the distance, only gave up 1 earned run with 4 hits and 4 walks. Watterson looks very good defensively, no mistakes. Alder had 7 hits and an error that led to the go ahead run. That was probably the only mistake by either team. The rematch, if it happens should be another low scoring game that will come down to 1 or 2 plays.

No, I just get on to check from time-to-time to check what you guys are saying..about every couple days. My son only made it on the team for the first 2 games. He got kicked off the team..well I wouldn't say kicked out..that's a strong word. He could have probably stayed on the team, if he would have just sat down with the coach. Time went by and Chase didn't push the meeting, and he was not asked to come back. He had an amazing job offer..one night of work..take-home pay of $600. Him and I discussed it. It was a Tuesday game night. He decided to work and use the money for college. He never thought the coach would even get mad about it. I told him he was wrong. Naive. LOL I was right. haha! The work was supposed to be for 3 different night in the week..%600 dollars each night. It actually ended up one night, but still great money he can use for college.
Now before you guys jump all over me, because I read an early discussion about kids missing games for vacation. My son never really got an opportunity to showcase what he could do. It's just how it was. I'm not even mad about it. I understand Galion plays small ball. Chase is the new kid on the block. Never played baseball for Galion before. In all the scrimmages he played in. He walked 2 times and struck out once. He only pitched one scrimmage..didn't make it out of the first inning, but had 2 strike-outs. (The team had 3 errors in the field, which probably didn't help him..but he didn't have his control down either. just as much Chase's fault.) He only played the outfield one inning in our 10-0 win over Colonel Crawford the first game of the season. Never batted. In the next game against Buckeye Valley, he never played in 14 innings. So the next game is when he decided to work that one night. It just didn't work out for him. Chase just didn't have enough playing time. He used to be an All-Star baseball player too, who when he's hitting good can put the ball over the fence. He should have been able to get back to that level with some playing time, But 3 at-bats in all the scrimmage games..and no-at-bats in 2 regular games, esp. a 10-0 game...it's just enough to get your timing down. No problem..Chase is a football player. He's headed to Baldwin Wallace and continue on. We both love Galion and their sport teams. We wish Galion Baseball the very best. GO TIGERS!!!

I know there's several games left, but I was interested in hearing what players from your (or other) teams you thought should be 1st or 2nd team MOAC if the season ended today. For Alder, assuming they get 6 players like last year in the red: 1st Team: Eisnaugle Gehres Duckworth 2nd Team: Maynard Smith HM: Beachy As for the other schools based on what I saw when Alder played them: BV: Ulrich & Tobin NU: Neel MH: Booker (struggled against us but has the stats) RV: Doubkin brothers Pleasant: Pytlarz Galion: Hatfield & Bebout All conference selections named today. I was close on my predictions, missed 2. Eisnaugle player of the year. Alder got 4 on the 1st team. Maynard moves up to 1st team with Duckworth, Gehres & Eisnaugle. Smith & Hurley 2nd team. Shrock Honorable mention.
