******Warning Style Points opinion******
Buckeyes need to show their defense is for real and win by 30. That is all for now.

I'm not expecting a blowout in this one. I think it will be hotly contested into the 4th quarter.
The loudest venue in college sports, the Buckeyes need to conduct business in a confident, poised and methodic manner, in this electronically enhanced crowd noise.

I’m actually surprised no one has ever really complained about the artificial noise made there. It’s already loud enough without it.

Penn St always seems to play Ohio State tough. With this being on the road, I think it will be close at half-time but the Buckeyes run away with it starting in the late 3rd quarter.

I have yet, to read the technical aspect of how it is being produced. My first thoughts is, the actual crowd noise is conveyed by a microphone system, amplified and synthesised through the regular sound system in a manner that sounds very natural to the human ear. Kinda like introducing multiple channels through a pre-amp. IMO, those kinds of tactics should be illegal in all sports in America. Heck, spectators are not permitted to use bullhorns in the stands, h.s., college or pro.

the noise will be a factor for the buckeyes on saturday and may translate into some illegal procedures or extra timeouts. More concerning to me, now that the defense does appear to being back to the standards osu expects, is the running game. True, Iowa has one of the best run defenses in the nation, but gaining only 66 yards on the ground is concerning to me. BTW, scUM gained 172 yards vs Iowa earlier this season. The Bucks must be more consistent in short yardage situations, especially in the red zone or on third/fourth and short. Obviously, PSU is no Iowa on defense, but the bucks, IMO, must get better in the ground game before the end of November

The blocked field goal was the difference and I fully expect Penn State to try to press the kicking game.

After a season low 66 rushing yards, I’m interested in seeing how the Buckeyes talented running back duo bounce back this week. It’s hard to watch this team run with the ELITE talent they have behind the center and out wide, but I would prefer a little more balance. As long as we win though I could care less, but I can’t help but fall back on my personal opinion “we got some very talented RB’s, not being used, come in coach.”

Remember our Australian punter Jesse Mirco took it upon himself (supposedly) to take off for a 22 yard gain and a new set of downs. Could this be the game we see the former rugby standout, do his thing?......or possibly on November 26th?

I totally agree, but we have the possibility firmly planted in their minds. That's that many less that will be dropping back in return coverage.

Not happy with the offensive approach at this early point of the game. Too many horizontal passes and no attempt at the vertical passing game, other than the deep pass to Marvin Harrison on the 1st series. Running game not working yet, but the pass game can open things up.

Another interception! Both by defensive tackles!
Replay clearly shows Miiyan Williams has the ball over the goal line!

Another interception! Both by defensive tackles! Sean Clifford continues to be his typical Jekyll and Hyde self. He could have taken off and gotten the first down. Instead he guns it and gets picked.

You can't hang these Int's on Clifford. Give credit, where credit is due. Nice penetration and good tips and concentration on the ball after the tip.

The second INT he had a choice between running for the first down or throwing it to a covered WR. I’m not giving OSU credit for a bad decision by Clifford

Anyone else think it’s strange that Penn State refuses to run the ball even though it’s working? Ripping off 5-6 yards a carry but prefer to throw screens.

That was incredibly rude to play the Nittany Lions growl, During an injury timeout, Especially playing twice.

That was a great snag by the PSU TE on the play prior to the TD.

We have ourselves a ballgame. The Buckeyes need to get their verticle passing game going. Nice drive by PSU.

I’ll never understand the wisdom of playing 10 yards off against OSU. Your begging to get die by 1000 cuts.
