BURROW NAMED AFC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Bengals QB Joe Burrow was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 7 for his performance in the team's 35-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
Burrow completed 34 of 42 passes (80.1 percent) for 481 yards and three TDs for a passer rating of 138.2. He led the NFL in Week 7 in completions, passing yards and passer rating, and his passing yardage total was the third-most in a single game in Bengals history. Burrow also ran three times for 20 yards with a one-yard TD in the third quarter. He became the third player in NFL history with at least 475 passing yards, three TD passes and one rushing TD in a single game, joining Norm Van Brocklin (1951) and Billy Volek (2004).
Sunday marked Burrow's fifth career game with over 400 passing yards, surpassing Marino (four) for the most such games by a player in his first three seasons in NFL history.

The Bengals, despite their offensive struggles to begin the season, could very well be undefeated at this point with a few small breaks. * 3 pt. loss in O.T. vs. Steelers to start the season. * 3 pt. loss @ Dallas * 2 pt. loss @ Baltimore
The Bengals have the best defense in the AFC North and one of the better D's in the AFC
The first four games, the offense was out of rhythm, much like last years slow start, But they are playing in syc. as they enter the meat of the schedule.

Without Ja'mar Chase for 6 weeks I’ve read a few different reports on the length of time. Good thing that bye week is coming up.

Without Ja'mar Chase for 6 weeks Losing arguably, the best receiver in the league, hurts......ouch. It is now clear, Ja'mar suffered a fractured hip and will be sidelined from 4-6 weeks. Time for Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd to step up and try and fill the void. No one can replace such a dynamic and explosive player, but they can lessen the loss.

I think LB depth is another position they need to address also.

Almost identical to last year, the Bengals are into post season form and match the record they had going into week 13. Joe Burrow is sharp and in J'marr Chase's absence other receivers have stepped to the plate. Beating Tennessee at their place in astounding fashion has this team focused on Kansas City, in hopes of shutting down Mahomes & company for the 3rd straight time. The defense is playing remarkable and ranked rather high in the NFL ratings. They shut down Derek Henry with only 38 yds. on 17 carries. Outstanding......

The NFL 'Game of the Week' saw another epic battle between Mahomes and Burrow. Burrow had another amazing performance completing 25 of 31 for 286 yds. and 2 TD's. Burrow also carried the ball 11 times for 46 yds. and another TD. Joe Burrow has gone head to head with Mahomes 3 times and has come out on top, each and every time.
J'Marr Chase returns to the field and had a good first game back, with 7 receptions for 97 yds.
Samaje Perine continues to get the tough yardage with 155 yds. on 30 carries.

Don't think PT is going to be a big issue. Perine will get the bulk of the carries and they will work Mixon in gradually, till he is absolutely 100%. From that point on, think they will share the load. What a 1-2 punch to have. Both have the same qualities, big, tough, physical backs and excellent blockers. Perine has the slight edge as a receiver out of the backfield and a little more deceptive as a runner. But, I remember Mixon having some monster games last year, where he was virtually unstoppable.

It's ironic that Baltimore comes to Cincinnati the last week of the season. My guess this contest will be for the AFC North crown. The first matchup at Baltimore was a down to the wire thriller, with the Ravens coming out with a 19-17 win. That was without the services of J'Marr Chase. The Bengals are playing as well as anyone at this point of the season, so I like their chances.

We see some De Ja vu going on, as this years team is mimicking the upward trending character of last year's Super Bowl team. The big difference however, is an improved defense and dramatically improved offensive line to protect 'Joe Cool', or better yet 'JO-HI-O'. Giving 'Joe Cool' a clean pocket to work out of presents dire consequences for defensive backfields.
The Bengals have now won 5 in a row and 8 of their last ten games. They, very easily could be sitting at 12-1 right now, had the last seconds field goal gone awry in the two 3 point losses and of course the other was the 2 point loss to Baltimore.
Let's hope the two starting receivers that were absent for Cleveland, due to injuries, are able to return the coming week or shortly thereafter. I have nothing but great respect and admiration for the talents of Nick Chubb, a very powerfull and tough runner, but the tandem of Samaje Perine and the full blown return of Joe Mixon, sees the Bengals with a strong running game.

This team just keeps improving a little bit each week. I know it didn’t look great on offense today but considering two of their best WRs didn’t play, the running game picked it up for sure. Shoutout to the defense who held Cleveland to 6 yards rushing in the 2nd half.
Now onto next week at Tampa Bay. They looked really bad against the 49ers who are on their 3rd QB and lost Deebo during the game. As long as the Bengals show up and hopefully get some guys back, I think they’ll be alright.

Tampa Bay could be a very dangerous opponent. They are licking their wounds after the embarrassment of the once vaunted offense being shutout into the 4th quarter. On ESPN, someone mentioned for the first time, the Bengals have a remote chance to become the #1 seed, if they run the table.

According to experts, Ja'maar Chase may be the fastest player in NFL history. Ja'maar was clocked at 21.66 mph on a 57 yd.catch and TD run, in the AFC Championship game against Kansas City. It was the fastest speed reached by any player in a playoff game since play speed began being recorded in 2016. At NFL rookie camp, the 2021 'AFC Rookie of the Year', was clocked at 4.34. He may be the fastest player in NFL history

lol.....You caught me before I had a chance to correct it. I think it's Daniel Jones?
If you've watched San Francisco the last two games, Brock Purdy was very impressive and is climbing the QB chart.

I have to give Who Dey some credit; gone are the days of more arrests than wins This is the NFL. Every team in the NFL has had it's less than proud moments, without exception. Today's Bengals are the closest thing to college innocence and charisma that you will ever see. Heck, Zach Taylor is just out of diapers Ya gotta love the lockeroom moments after each game with the awarding of the team balls. Who, in the NFL even does this these days?
