Glad to see that game 2 is at 4:00, since the Buckeyes are playing at 8:00 that night.
Salazar is not 100% yet and is not expected to make the ALCS roster. The Indians are going with the a rotation of Kluber, Bauer, Tomlin....with Clevinger penciled in for game 4.

Kluber, Miller and Allen all pitch great and Franky gets a huge homer as the Indians take game 1 in a 2-0 shutout

Tribe gets 2-0 shutout to start series! Bauer out of the rotation for game two, playing with his drone, couldn't keep his pinky out of the way.

i think if you get 4 innings of 3-run ball from Tomlin you take that all day long

The pitching continues to dominate. Pretty amazing that we now have a 2-0 series lead despite scoring only 4 runs. And for the 2nd straight game it was Lindor who got what proved to be the game winning RBI.

Been at every home game so far.
Night games are like rock concerts. Day games are good, not deafening though.

A friend bought tickets on line the day of the game on Saturday. He bought 2, but was told there was plenty if he wanted to buy 8. They had real seats, but said ushers sat up folding chairs for ticket holders in the aisle in front of them. Which he thought would be better seats.

What's the latest status of Carrasca and Salazar? Any chance of either of them being available at some point?

Pretty sure carrasco is done for the year. Salazar pitched a simulated game yesterday. Seems like he is pushing hard to return if they reach the WS

Bullpen duty only IF Cleveland makes it to the World Series and IF they put him on the roster, even if healthy. For the World Series, a pitcher or 2 might be left off in favor of another hitter or 2 since the DH won't be used in the NL park. Francona manages like an NL manager anyway.

Well crap, Bauer makes it all of 2/3 of an inning before his pinky starts gushing blood. Here we go bullpen.

Just keep McCallister from going out there. As his tribe career has shown he goes out and pours gasoline on the fire...just like last night.

I think more difficult to do in baseball than most other sports. Cleveland pitching is in the heads of the Toronto hitters. The best they can do is incessantly complain about calls.

Tribe going with Ryan Merritt tomorrow, whose career in the majors so far is a grand total of 11 innings.

The game I saw Merritt pitch in--he was awesome, plus he's a lefty which the tribe hasn't had as a starter for a long while.

lefty will come in handy vs the Dodgers in the WS but atm Donaldson, Bautista, and Encarnacion are all righties
GO TRIBE!

So game 1 of the World Series will be on Tuesday night in Cleveland. So what else is going on that night? ....the NBA Champion Cavaliers will be hoisting their banner and receiving their rings before playing their season opener against the Knicks. Gonna be a crazy night in downtown Cleveland on Tuesday.

Jost scrolled at the bottom of the screen on TBS, B. Shaw was the winning pitcher? I thought the Indians had the lead when Merritt was still on the mound. I don't get that. Glad for Miller, he should be the MVP.

Updated Indians postseason series history (now 10-8) Record by series: 5-3 in ALDS 3-2 in ALCS 2-3 in Word Series Series records vs opponents: 3-2 vs Red Sox 2-1 vs Yankees 1-1 vs Orioles 1-1 vs Mariners 1-1 vs Braves 1-0 vs Blue Jays 1-0 vs Dodgers 0-1 vs Giants 0-1 vs Marlins ...and then in one game playoffs they are 1-1: 0-1 vs Rays (2013 AL Wild Card game) 1-0 vs Red Sox (1948 AL pennant tiebreaker, which is technically a regular season game) oh yeah, and 1-0 vs the Yankees (1989 AL East Division tiebreaker )
