If TCU wins and USC wins then I agree to a point that OSU is out,,, but if either or both lose —- we’ll be in at either 3 or 4 seed. OSU would almost certainly get Georgia in the first round and likely get smashed.

I do not want OSU in the playoffs. Agree they would get Georgia and get smashed. This, then, is what the past few years has also brought -- a feeling that OSU can no longer win versus the elite programs -- the bamas, the Georgias, the Clemsons and now scUM. Compete, probably, but not win. That cancer and fear has been slowly eating away at this program and the past three or four years under current leadership has only bolstered that feeling. OSU no longer has the mental toughness to win versus the biggies, IMO. Last year, a scUM coach said the Bucks lacked toughness and players after the game said the same thing. This year, Michigan players have been quoted in the Detroit press saying they could see it "in the eyes" of OSU players in the second half. Heck, a TV sideline reporter during the game even quoted a Michigan player during the second half as yelling at his teammates saying "they are who we thought they are." What an indictment -- the physical toughness can come back but they were not talking about that -- they meant MENTAL TOUGHNESS. Wilting under pressure, whatever you want to call it. scUM now KNOWS they can beat Ohio State, and unfortunately and apparently, a significant portion of the Buckeyes know that too -- and that negates any physical edge we may or may not have, We have lost our swagger, our dominance. We no longer cast fear and doubt on teams -- they believe the Bucks are vulnerable and can be beat. That, to me, is the biggest sin of the current leadership. Some say 45-5 or whatever is great and you can't expect much better in today's college football atmosphere. I say BS -- that's the mentality of a loser -- and this so-called "fake fan" won't accept that. Coach Day and his cronies have a lot of work to do and it is not going to be easy. We are now looking up to scUM and others and that's not the way it should b. Im not sure he is the one to bring this mental toughness back.

Beating mich became pretty common and so Make the CFP is my #1 goal personally. Beat UM most of the time is goal # 2 . Mich wasn't gonna be mediocre forever,,,I mean 15 years was a long time. --lol. Day is 2-2 and yes the forfeit was a win imo. Rambo is holding for you on Line 2 regarding "forfeit win "

The fact that they are even considering Alabama with two losses for a playoff spot is insane.

Interesting article by SECPN, they actually have the Buckeyes ahead of Alabama for now. This weekend will tell us everything we need to know and if a redemption tour is in the making for Ohio State.
Where do you go once you’ve hit rock bottom, only way is up. Buckeye could be given the golden ticket to show they’re not soft and have an inability to make adjustments and win big games. Talent isn’t the question today, commitment by the players and coaches is now the question. Will they do what’s required.
If they don’t make the playoffs it’s clear nothing matters until they go up to Ann Arbor in 2023.

I’m sorry but, TCU would get smacked by anybody in the top 25 that is not in the big 12 conference.

I’m sorry but, TCU would get smacked by anybody in the top 25 that is not in the big 12 conference. TCU reminds me of the Buckeyes in 2002, not in terms of personnel, but they just keep finding ways to win. That’s all they have to do (obviously), but every time you think this might be the game they find a way to win.

Beyond KSU, who can we argue is a quality win. I understand their SOS or SOR IS #1 since numerous wins have been to #25 teams at the times, but I have to ask if we look at the record at the end of the season compared to during, is it that strong? I obviously don’t think it is, and numerous of those teams showed their flaws. Same can be said for every team though, all the more reason to expand gentlemen and ladies if you’re out there.

TCU’s head coach isn’t going to be scared and I trust TCU’s secondary to actually cover their man and hit the QB when they have a fair free shot. TCU’s defense isn’t going let JJ throw 3 touchdowns either. It still blows my mind those duck lobs went for 6!!

That shows how bad the teams they played passing games were especially in the Big Ten. If they couldn’t cover the Michigan WRs or have the mental toughness to play with them then imagine what Georgia would do to them.

I must admit that this past Saturday was the 1st time in 2 years that I watched a full complete game of either OSU or Michigan. I was flying in 2021 so it was probably 2020 when I watched an entire game of either team. I told my wife in the 4th qt that the Big 10 must really suck for both these 2 teams being 11-0. I wasn't overly impressed with either.

The problem was that Ohio State was blitzing 8 out of 11 people to contain the run and it was working, but there was no safety help, like the missed tackle on Cornelius Johnson. OSU’s defense wasn’t balanced.

OSU would almost certainly get Georgia in the first round and likely get smashed. as will everyone else for that matter. Dem Dogz are just a few steps ahead of everyone. Birdman, you wrote this a few days ago. I think Georgia, like all the top 1-6 teams, have shown they can be vulnerable and aren’t invincible. Caleb Williams and company can only come out and play if that was the match-up. One thing about Georgia comparing them to the field is they’re not head and shoulders above everyone else. Every team has the ability to beat them. To me there is no Goliath this year and a bunch of David’s. I think looking at what Georgia did to Tennessee has lost a lot of wind in that sail considering the Cacks “purposely spelled that way” more than had their way with them. I also think we need not forget last years Georgias defense was a once in a lifetime group. This years is good, but not 8-11 pro players good.

I do think they are a step ahead of the field and will hold strong on that statement, I however don't believe they are an "unbeatable team." Teams like USC and Ohio State provide a passing attack, that can even the playing field IMO. Georgia is good, they're actually very good, but those two teams can create an opportunity to give themselves a chance to win. I would have no issue with placing TCU and Michigan in there, but I have a few issues with them. Michigan, again IMO, doesn't have a QB that can stretch the field and make big time throws. TCU also based on their play this year like to play it close and come back in the end. Those recipes don't gel well with how Georgia has played this season. I think it's important to ask the question, "well look how they did against Tennessee's passing offense." With that being taken into consideration, they played great! They very well could shut down a passing attack by both USC and the Buckeyes, I will counter that with Tennessee doesn't have a Ryan Day or Lincoln Riley cooking up plays and assisting in creating a game plan. I also think the WR's at both USC and Ohio State, are better than what Tennessee put on the field against Georgia. If we're talking money yes, I am taking Georgia, but I guess it's a good thing I don't gamble (at least until its legal on 1/1/23). What it comes down to for any team who is going to match-up with Georgia is will they play to win or play to not lose. Ohio State right now, seems to be playing not lose though. Something has changed, because you can see it in their swagger if you will. Michigan has the swagger, along with TCU and USC. For me it comes down to who has the offense to counter their defense. Georgia's offense can be stopped, that is a fact, we saw Akron and a couple other teams do it.

They were favored by 6 against Alabama in the SEC Title game and lost by 17. Then they were favored by 3 in the CFB Title game and won by 15. This year they are favored by 17.5 in the SEC title game. I guess we'll see how it plays out but Vegas seems to think they are a Goliath this year. I still think the best 1st round game against Georgia this year is Alabama. I hope the playoffs are MI v OSU and GA v AL in the 1st round. I think those have the best chance of being good games.
