Norwalk should win - but that's what we thought last year. Willard always brings a good game to this rivalry.

30 - 19; Norwalk is up with 5:37 left to play.

30 - 19 Final
Willard always brings a good game against Norwalk. After a slow start for Norwalk, they came back in the second half to take charge. Unfortunately, an injury took Brandon Haraway out of the game. Hopefully just a shake up and he'll be ready next week.

Willard up in the 2nd half 13-8
Crazy fights break out and Norwalk scores the next 22 points. Damn.

Sounds like Willard brought swords to a gun fight.

Fights over what? These teams just don't like each other? Late hits? Cheap shots? Any ejections?

No ejections - just a heated game - this is a good rivalry. Willard received 2 personal fouls and Norwalk one.

From all accounts it was wilder than picabo's post. Big fight, coaches on the field stopping both benches from clearing.

From someone that was there, did any Norwalk kids leave the bench?:
willard should of had 3 kids ejected and norwalk 1......additionally, the 15 other willard players that left the sideline should have been tossed for leaving the sidelines.

I noticed 1 Norwalk player start to try who got the furthest but he was held back. But there was a LOT going on at that point, so could have easily been more I didn't see. I talked to some Willard people since the game and they agreed that the refs had no control at all of the game and if they would have done something at the start of the issues the rest probably would not have happened.

The NOL skirmishes are NOTHING compared to the altercations, personal fouls and unsportsmanlike penalties all over the MOAC this year. These occurrences seem to be much more common now than in years past. I know to many officials and how they work games to lay the blame there.

That's to bad vottruckers, if this outburst was a result of things building during the game the officials would have surely seen it coming and should have stopped it.

I am glad there were no ejections though.

I am glad there were no ejections though. I'm agreed there. I know a number of officials too and understand how hard that job is for sure. Most people I've talked to from both sides were very surprised more wasn't done to make it easier on themselves to keep control.

I think most officials have the interest in let kids play and do not want to e the center of any game. With that said it can be tough to read when an explosive event is about to happen. But when dealing with rivals the refs should always be on the look.

When did Norwalk become Willard's rival? They use to be the doormat to Willard.

NOL rival would first and foremost be Shelby.

Schools can have more than one rival.
