Beginning this season, the Northern Lakes League welcomes its four new members, and begins play in two divisions.
NLL Buckeye...
Toledo Whitmer
Perrysburg
Anthony Wayne
Findlay
Holland Springfield
Sylvania Northview
NLL Cardiinal...
Oregon Clay
Fremont Ross
Bowling Green
Sylvania Southview
Napoleon
So what can we expect? Who's up? Who's down? Who wins each division? Discuss!
....and one final rant. IMO, the folks in charge could have named the divisions Great Lakes, and Great Northern. Would have been a excellent way to remember NLL history.

I don't have insight on the NLL, but I agree that the division names are a bit generic. Not that I truly expect a lot considering 150ish schools in Ohio have either Tigers or Bulldogs as a mascot.
I did a look at leagues in Ohio, and they tend to fall into the following categories:
- Geographic (East/West, North/South, which begs the question...why even bother if you are segregating divisions by location? That's what all leagues are)
- Size (Large/Small)
- We Like Ohio State (Scarlet/Gray division names)
- We Live In Ohio (Cardinal, Buckeye, i.e. what the NLL is doing)
There are some cool leagues that actually have good names. Chagrin Valley Conference has the Chagrin, Metro, and Valley divisions. The SBC is honestly one of the best ones by using Lake/Bay/River to describe the sizes of divisional teams. Central Buckeye Conference also does well with their Mad River and Kenton Trail divisions.
For the NLL, I thought it would be cool if you come up with Toledo-centric division names. Something like the Glass Division and...idk what else but there is room to make the divisions representative of the region. We are cool with the Orange & Sugar Bowls, why can't we do the same with this? It'd be more fun than being crowned "Winner of the Gray Division" like some leagues offer.

7-3 in Trojan land jafo. Hearing a lot of good things from the players and staff. Losses to TCC, Whitmer and Perrysburg. Their competitiveness week one with CC ( best team they play IMO)will set the tone for the rest of the season.
