I can agree with Carey. Crawford has to find a new QB, but has a lot of athletes. Seneca East and Upper both return 1st team QB's and always have a good core of athletes. Mohawk returns a 2nd team QB. Wynford returns their QB also, which seems to be important for the style of play in the N10. I think it will be real competitive, just like last year. Can't wait!!

In regard to Wynford (as a former grad), they start the season as tough as possible: Galion, Pleasant, @ Western Reserve, @ Carey, @ Mohawk. Yes, this team will be better as they return their QB, two leading rushers, and Kalen Skidmore but I don't think they will be able to over come a potential 1-4 or 0-5 start. It certainly isn't the glory days of 2005 to 2017 but I believe Cyle Skidmore will have the program turning in the right direction, but I have them at 4-6 this year.
S.E. brings back Foos, who I think will wreak havoc on the league as a senior this year after leading the league in rushing and second in passing as a junior. U.S. brings back the league's leading passer while C.C. and Carey will both need to replace their leading passer and rusher.
All in all, I believe it'll be similar to last season - a three horse race between Carey, S.E., and C.C.

I believe they will be in the horse race again. Wynford's NC games will help them once they get into league play, they may be a player also. With 16 teams getting to the PO's, it's not so much how many points you can get the first three weeks, but how well you're playing at week 10.

There are 5 or 6 teams that could realistically be in a 16 team playoff and region 22 will be interesting to see play out. I won't hold my breath on Wynford, but 4-6 could get them in. Holman will be fun to watch for U.S. and will be a difference maker in many games with young defensive backs. It's just tough seeing U.S. moving past the first round in region 14.

Northmor at Upper, Fri. 8/18/23. This game should be a good barometer for where both teams are at this year. Streaming "Live and Free" on OH Report and WQEL 92.7FM.

I think it was Northmor 42 Upper 21. Upper had the ball with 4 minutes left on their 40 and down by a touchdown. Two straight pick sixes ended any hope. Northmor has a pretty balanced squad.

HL is the real deal in D7 this year. They had a lot easier time with Carey than D4 Galion did.

League play begins this Friday 9-8-23.
Wynford at Carey - Using Galion as a common yardstick, this should be a very good and close game. I'll take Cary at home. Bucyrus at Colonel Crawford - CC Eagles will soar over the young Redmen. Buckeye Central at Mohawk - Although Mohawk is 0-3, they've played some good teams. I'll take them to rebound against the Bucks. Seneca East at Upper Sandusky - Both teams have good QB's. This game will be won by the best defense. Upper wins at home. Any other thoughts on these games?

Week 5 games:
Carey at Buckeye Central - Carey(2-2) seems to have solved some early problems, numbers are again a problem for BC(2-2). Carey wins easily.
Upper Sandusky at Bucyrus - Upper(1-3) can score, Bucyrus(0-4) can't stop anyone. Upper by a lot.
Seneca East at Colonel Crawford - A key matchup in the N10. After a long road trip and close game in week one, CC has cruised to a 4-0 record. SE(2-2) on the other hand has been in a battle every week, something CC hasn't experienced in the last three weeks. Could be another back and forth and high scoring game for SE. I'll take CC to pull this one out in front of a large home crowd.
Wynford at Mohawk - Both teams are 1-3 and probably better than their record. The Royals opponents are 13-3 and the Warriors' are 12-4. I'll go with Mohawk at home in a tight, backyard, rivalry game.

Bucyrus has let up 50 or more in every game except one. Wynford was a 2 win team going into last nights game and they put up 70. I think Bucyrus has hit rock bottom.
