Clear Fork losing last week threw me for a loop. They have played a tougher schedule with respectful outcomes, but I haven't seen them. I'll go Galion. Probably close.
Could Ontario put up the performance against Tiffin that River Valley did? Again, seeing Clear Fork lose to Lex put the Minutemen's games against the MOAC schools in perspective. River Valley. Probably close as well.
I like Pleasant's resurgence compared to last year, but I doubt they've seen anything like the RB from Highland. Highland easy.
Marion Harding has showed some promise recently. I think Shelby by 3 TDs is fair. I haven't seen any stats/footage from MH this year besides their final scores, but I doubt Shelby has it in them to win many MOAC games by more than 3 TDs. We are prone to giving up chunks of yards on the ground. I think DeVito is great, but an INT per game is what I'm expecting until I see that go away.
Wooster Generals.
I have a hard time going against Lex.
Mansfield is showcasing one of the bright spots of having 16 teams make the playoffs in each region: you can load up your schedule and allow yourself to get punched once or twice and still be safe for qualifying. I think they'll get WH by a few TDs.
As a Shelby fan, I'm forever caught up in thinking that playing Steubenville respectfully close merits some brownie points. New Philly has done that. Ashland probably has some work to do. Let's say New Philly and call it a day.

How long before the valley fingers begin to point. Could be 3 straight losses this week. RV in a small stunner at Niss Field. Highland with a win. Shelby with a win. Wooster at home. Should be Lex. Going with the home team at Arlin field. New Phil by two scores unless Arrow QB has a career night and his crew can catch.

Clear Fork at Galion : agree with dude. Galion's experience will be deciding factor in this contest River Valley at Ontario: RV has played better competition so hard to tell, i go with RV Highland at Pleasant: Highland runs wild Shelby at Marion Harding: Devito has another big night Madison at Wooster: Wooster Lexington at Mt. Vernon: Lex athletes continue to improve West Holmes at Mansfield Senior: A real toss up, west holmes is not quite as good as they have been so i go with TY at home Ashland at New Philadelphia: long ride home for the arrows

Clear Fork at Galion. Clear Fork won last year 36-10. Clear Fork has won 5 of 6 meetings since joining the MOAC in 2017, and 5 of 7 overall. Galion’s wins came in 1972 and 2020. In this one, Galion will want establish a physical running game to control the clock. If they can do that, I think they can be successful. As I’ve been saying, they control their destiny over the next 4 weeks.

GHS, I've only watched the replay of the Galion @ Wynford game this year. Has the QB found a rhythm as of late? Or is it still mostly the Ivey Show?
To piggyback on you saying Galion controls their own destiny these next few weeks, Shelby is absolutely exposed by good running teams. Bellevue certainly had that figured out. There weren't many broken tackles so much as it was a poor ability for our defense to close in on the runner before they got their 5-6 yards.
It seems as though our style the last few years is to stun the other team with above average pass offense that can create offense in a flurry... and hope that compensates for all the other drawbacks. It is hard to stop the offense, but easy to score.
Lexington gave up 17, 50, and 27 points in their three games this year. Bellevue gave up 14, 3, and 33 points.
It's easy to pluck out which games were the Shelby ones. But on the other side, we have this:
Madison has scored 14, 0, and 0 points in their three games this year. Lex 14, 19, 28 Bellevue 6, 26, and 35.
Besides Lex scoring 19 against Shelby, those other schools had their best offensive nights against Shelby.

Clear Fork at Galion - Galion by 2 scores or more. The MOAC can smell the blood in the water in the valley, and Carroll running up scores on weaker teams does not help. I can't imagine anyone in the MOAC not wanting to thump the colts. That said, do those who have run out Carroll think they made the wrong move? Or do they prefer a culture change over just wins? BTW Galion is an extremely solid team. If they can keep the running game going like they have been, they will be extremely tough to beat in the league.
River Valley at Ontario- Listen, I've been down on Ontario, but not now, I think they win a home in a tight ball game. Still missing Fillmore though. Any idea what happened?
Highland at Pleasant - I'll take Highland with a possible running clock
Shelby at Marion Harding - Shelby by 40. However, to piggyback on Shelbyrr, if Shelby can't develop a solid running game outside of QB scrambles, and someone either can match their receivers skill or they lose a guy like Ramsey to injury, they will always be on the edge of disaster IMO. However, with the amount of solid running teams in the MOAC, Shelby will have to button up their run defense, which I think they will. I still like them to win the league, playing Bellevue finally gives them a chance to play a well coached team who plays physical football, not trying to knock Madison and Lexington, but they are poorly coached and not very tough.
Madison at Wooster - Wooster by a lot!
Lexington at Mt. Vernon - Lex wins this by 10.
West Holmes at Mansfield Senior- I'll take Senior at home, I think they are ready to get back in the win column against WH and they have certainly been tested more than WH has.
Ashland at New Philadelphia - I like Ashland in a close game. I'll take them 28-27

I'll take them 28-27 Obviously people want to win games... however I think people are happy with the shift in some of the cultural issues that seemed to plague Carroll. But if there is not improvement made at CF, especially on offense, their could be sharks in the water in a different sense. Talent plays a factor to an extent, but after that it comes down to schemes, play calling, etc. I have thought their defense has performed decently well minus a few plays against Lex when they were "out athleted".

West Holmes @ Mansfield Sr. - Is Reese back?. If so I'll go with the TYgers at home. But Maltrick (sp) is back for the Knights also so it could be close. But the Tygers take it 35-28.
Ashland @ New Philadelphia- Got to go with the Quakers in this one. Probably another close game. Quakers defense is solid. New Philly 21-14 over the Arrows.
Lexington @ Mt.Vernon- Lexington has to win if the want to keep trending in the right direction. The Minutemen 31- 20 over the Yellow Jackets.
Madison @ Wooster- Again the Rams are still searching for a win. They won't find it this week in Wayne County either. The Generals 38-6 over the Rams.
Clear Fork at Galion - I'll go with Galion at home in this one. Clear Fork in a slight rebuilding mode and adjusting to a new head coach. Galion still looks like the 3rd best team in the MOAC this year. Tigers 26 Colts 19.
River Valley at Ontario - Could be a very interesting match up. Ontario playing well right now, but could the Warriors put up 45 on Columbian like the Vikings did.I say no. Vikings 28- 17 over the Warriors.
Highland at Pleasant- Highland should win this one by a pretty good margin. The Fighting Scots 40-13 over the Spartans.
Shelby at Marion Harding - Shelby played a tough Bellevue team down to the wire last week. They should handle Harding. Whippets 45-20 over the Presidents.

It was wet and he was running tippy toed all night. They definitely want to push bodies around and run first. He can make the throws if he needs to and did in the Carey game.

Interesting part of a post when you show that each team Shelby has played, they have their best offensive output up to that point of the season. Madison has not improved, Lexington has and we shall see where Bellevue goes. But the fact is, when they played Shelby they had the best offensive night of the season, at that point.

This is why I feel shelby will not win the MOAC nor will it even be a serious contender. Their lines, both offensive and defensive, are suspect to say the least and their kickoff coverage is beyond bad. Thats why they squib kick almost every time, BTW, the gift TD that Shelby coaches essentially gave BEllevue by kicking deep to the best player on the field in the 2nd qtr was the difference in that game , IMO. Until Shelby toughens up the interior, they are extremely vulnerable and suspect

6-0 Shelby. DeVito had a 99 yard run for a TD. Missed the PAT situation so don't know what happened there.

9-0 Shelby. DeVito gets a 70 yard run followed by some blah offense where they lost yards and fought back to kick a field goal on 4th and 10.

Galion 14 Clear Fork 3 at halftime. Galion’s offense got off to a slow start and credit to Clear Fork for that. Clear Fork’s field goal came off a long pass play that ended deep in Galion territory. Galion finally broke through with a long pass play for a touchdown. Then when they got it back they broke a long run for another score. Galion deferred in the first half so they will get the ball to start the third quarter.

I saying this Galion team is something. This offense and defense is unstoppable. No team will be able to contain this team. Galion will be in Canton come December and will he State Champs.

Shelby 24-14 at half.
The best summary I can give:
Shelby squib/onside kicked 3/5 kickoffs. None went to plan.
DeVito got a 99 yard TD off a 4th and 14 when there was a hole the size of Kansas.
DeVito then ripped another 70 yard run later on to give Shelby a good situation for a FG.
A few TDs by Shelby.
Second quarter was 14-0 MH. We looked like crap. No Ramsey connections. Shelby has 6ish penalties compared to MH's 2ish. The Bellevue game saw a lot of Shelby penalties too. It's not fun.
DeVito had no time to think for most of Q2. There were at least three plays that intentional grounding could've been called on, and we only got one.
The MH announcer on the stream said "that was the slowest 4-yard gain I've ever seen" in reference to a Whippet RB, and I agree. Our running is easily subpar.
Actively, I was messaging friends saying how bad we looked when it was 24-0, and now it's 24-14 so the holes in the boat are showing.
If it weren't for DeVito getting 170ish yards on two runs, this game is all but tied.
