RIP Aaron Richardson..that 4x1 group really burned up the track. as a bellevue grad perkins track is something to behold...also rip jim hauser. Jim Hauser grandsons runs track for huron, and play basketball. younger one also plays football on the frosh team. real good family.. miss that man, he was awesome!

I don’t think they have. The only Playoff History Huron has with an NWOAL was Archbold, 1987 in Fremont. A game I happen to attend. Actually there is another team who was in the NWOAL at the time and that was Montpelier in 1993 and they were carved up mightily by the tigers like 13-7 or something like that. they put a stop to their one man wrecking crew on offense david rose. the tigers then took out a tough carey team a week later, huron barely got by a awesome hawken team and that set the stage for an epic showdown with the versailles tigers in which my brother and i were in attendance. i didnt go to huron but my cousin did and we were witness to a hard fought game in versailles came out the victor. actually we beat Carey at Strobel field first. then went to clay and beat Montpelier, Rose was a stud he went on to play some at BGSU. played Hawken at Finnie Stadium in Berea, before running into a buzz saw in Versailles at Massillon ..

Could you imagine if Perkins Track didn't lose Keys to Bellevue? there is no question they would have had at least one state title from 2003-2004. way before my time...lol, just a few 998 at Bellevue. I did hear that he (keys) threw his runnerup trophy in the trash in 2005. and speaking of players transferring to Bellevue back in the 90s. We had a move in my sophomore year from THomas Worthington hs in the summer of 95 named brian hughes who started on offense and defensive line. and then we had sean slater transferring in our senior year from willard. lol

Tough 110 Finals with Martin of Clyde and The phenom from Shelby I think it was Austin Wechter something along those lines.

Wow like Perkins, Shelby was always a juggernaut in track and field....him and his brother andrew were phenomenal in the 4 by 4 and andrew got 36 flat in the 300 meter hurdles one year...sick times! dave downs was awesome coach at shelby!

Tigers win this one. Beau Harkelroad and Jah Leh are the best receiver corps in D5. Pickett returns from the woods after getting his first deer of the season and that's a big help for the Tigers. Don't sleep on Huron in this one. Go Tigers Pickett got a tainted deer.

these guys and oak harbor has the makings for a classic.. neat little stadium (and i do mean little) they play a very good fundamentally sound brand of football.. their defense is 11 hats to the ball immediately.. and that sets the tone for them for the night...

Liberty Center was a very fast running team like Edison. Good luck, and hope none of their starters get hurt, keeping them in the entire game, despite the score, and knowing how easily they had it with us. We had 2 Referees calling everything, Especially the Ref. on the LC sideline, The other 3 didn't call much if anything, And the clock operator was terrible, Not that it made a difference. They were a better team, with a lot of actors on the field.

Does Huron have any good talent coming up? I read that they lose 16 seniors after this year. Not sure about Freshman and JV, but I heard from my nephew that their junior high levels are pretty down compared to years past. Things could get pretty bad over in Tiger town in years to come. In the Legando era you didn't see too many untalented classes, so it is sort of sad to hear that.

Bellevue seems to be in same boat regarding Middle School, but once the Catholic K-8 become Frosh and merge into HS, it's a different story

I was there at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium with my first wife on that cold, very, very rainy night in Massillon. Hard to believe it's been 30 years. Good season, Tigers... we'll get'em next year!
