I don't know if this was Vermilions greatest decision, definitely the most convenient, but sometimes convenience doesn't equal success. Probably why Vermilion has been insignificant for the last 20 years in football.

Stayed in house hired a coach within a stagnant program, I caught wind who were the other 3 finalist were and feel like some of them were better, but positions would have been created etc. Like I said it was the smart, safe, convenient hire. I don't have a dog in this fight and do not claim to be a expert at all. Just making conversation during a slow time.

Stayed in house hired a coach within a stagnant program, I caught wind who were the other 3 finalist were and feel like some of them were better, but positions would have been created etc. Like I said it was the smart, safe, convenient hire. I don't have a dog in this fight and do not claim to be a expert at all. Just making conversation during a slow time. One advantage he has over the other three is that he already knows what the problems are and now has the power to address them. As the OC he was handcuffed by the HC on what he could do. He was already working on fixing the youth football problems before the HC was even let go. The players and community already like him and that can't necessarily be said about the previous HC.

The players and community already like him and that can't necessarily be said about the previous HC. i was talking with sportsvideo friday at the basketball game. he said he thought it was a good hire from people he talked to. said the guy seemed to be well liked and the kids liked him. thats 75% of the battle.

But thats another topic
