I know this is a tall task against a perennial powerhouse but the way this offense is clicking right now it would not surprise me to see a Shelby upset. Defense is playing real well but this is a Sandusky-like challenge. Good week of practice boys and coaches. You can do it!

saurak why don't you take your trash talking little body back down to c-town and just stay off of here. We had enough of you on here when you were getting after the Port Clinton fans. We all know that you big city private schools do a lot of recruiting for your players. Don't try and tell me you don't cause I had nephews that went to St. Iggy in Cleveland and they lived in Rocky River and they told me that they do go around and look for the best players in the area. So get your recruiting *** out of here and stay down in c-town.

This RECRUITING stuff is just an EXCUSE for POOR football programs that CANNOT measure up to the HARD WORKING programs. I have seen the RUBES ACCUSE BIG RED of RECRUITING as well, if you CALL WHITEHALL "BIG CITY" then YOU really should get a MAP that is if you know how to READ one! Like I said, it really DOES NOT matter WHO wins this GAME as at the END EITHER would FALL TO THE HAWKS! However I would like to see SHELBY win this one as BHHS is tired of BEATING up on Steubenville and the HAWKS need NEW PREY! BTW, WHAT DOES WHIPPET TASTE LIKE (Chicken maybe)? LOL

It always amazes me how some private school fans can be such -------- when cheering for their teams with a favorable roster of players that may be attending their school only for a sport. Don't misunderstand me, I am not a big supporter of the private/public separation talks but I am experienced enough to have seen many private schools have an advantage when rosters change year to year. This can also be said for some public schools so I am not claiming this is only happening at private schools.

They are sensitive to it because they know that in reality, everything they do deserves a huge asterisk, or as in my case, it's just completely ignored. Too many years of watching Toledo Central Catholic pull this nonsense. It's pure garbage, and just teaches the kids that cheating is fine....just win.

How many students at Hartley have weapons on their person or in their lockers? What % of Hartley students are from poor families? If the answer to any of these questions is, "None or very few". Why is that?? What is the tuition/year to attend Hartley? Does Hartley give any "scholarships" to those who can't afford the tuition? If so, do you have any facts concerning the grade point averages of those student?

So he doesn't have answers because he just wants a rise out of us. And if this guy derives his value from his high school and being able to trash people on here because of that then I say let him shield his life insecurities with this. It's cute.

Everyone just needs to ignore his posts and keep discussion going on all these threads as if he never posts anything. The purpose of these threads is to discuss the game at hand and not put down other programs because Hartley is gods gift to football. U want to talk Hartley then find the thread regarding Hartley opponent this week and have at it. Otherwise, discuss the game in the thread without letting everyone know how bad these teams are compared to Hartley. Regardless of opponents played, if their respective league is down or up, or if top seeded teams have lost early in post season...some of these teams have had record breaking seasons...let those teams enjoy the season they had without your put downs.

Your lack of answers is proof of your ignorance or you have something to hide. You are so out of touch you think I'm talking about sports? When in fact I'm talking about the school in total. Try again, try honesty, save face. Answer the questions. If a graduate of Hartley you should be bright enough. OR are you a 14 year old Freshman? You embarrass your fellow Hartleyites.

The inquiry to tuition for Hartley is $8800.00 for participating Catholics and $9493.00 for non-participating Catholics. The price drops for the number of students from the same household.

I'll ask the even bigger question... Does Hartley offer scholarships for those athletic students "IN NEED?" I don't have a dog in this fight, but I do know that is not uncommon practice in this state up north, and it's just as frustrating here too.
Anyway, good to see the Whippets doing so well after some brutal seasons not too long ago. I bet the old boys in town (those around my age) are just eating it up right now...
Go Whippets!

No dog in the fight either. I question the intellect of saurak if he/she can't/won't answer the questions posed.

My thought is the if players are given scholarships, the true need is from the school.

I looked up the Steubenville HS website and found that they only had two away games this year. I'm going by the schedule listed and there were some blanks not filled in for "opponent." Interesting.
