I see the O coordinator has learned nothing from his poor play calling last year vs MSU. Last year he boycotted giving the RB the ball and this year he is boycotting giving the RB the ball. JT Barrett is getting too many reps. Zeke gets more carries as a pro than this guy gave Zeke vs a college team named MSU. And once again he's trying to beat MSU by having JT Barrett be a ball hog.

^^^ Agree, I'm sitting here in disbelief, of what a jackass the offensive coordinator is, Again for a 2nd year in a row.

Curtis's touches are Urban's fault. He said so himself.

Weber is better than I thought he was coming out of HS. Faster. Better vision. Still not a burner but he makes quick decisions.

This play calling is so boring, I fell asleep watching. Just woke up to dumb 2 point failed conversion, Even if the Buckeyes hang on to barely beat a 3-7 TTUN State, They played there way out of the playoff this week, Would need to hammer TTUN next week to get in, IMO.

Just think, If Dantonio had kicked the extra point, Instead of being stupid, and going for 2, Would have been going to OT. The committee should be smart enough to drop us out of the playoff, with this awful play calling perfomance.

^^^^ Last year vs MSU Zeke only got 12 carries in the entire game. On a single series, a TD drive mind you, Zeke got 8 carries. The entire rest of the game he had 4 carries After that game Urban basically says the O Coordinator did a horrible job, tells him to get his arse up in the box and to give the ball to Zeke The next game vs Michigan Zeke got the ball 30 times
This year vs MSU Mike Weber only gets 14 touches, and averaged 7.9 yards a carry Barrett carries the ball 24 times - 24 carries for the QB, 14 for the stud RB Barrett throws the ball 22 times completing only 10 and was sacked 3 times
What don't we get? The Offense stunk both years when the O Coordinator went away from the RB and force fed all the running plays to JT Barrett. JT's a nice runner but he's no Zeke or Weber.

JT right, JT left, JT middle. When its working, its nice, but when it is not, it seems as if OSU cannot abandon a game plan that isn't working. JT has some serious accuracy issues as well.

What the hell was Curtiss Samuel thinking, when he fielded a punt at the 5 yd. line? Huh? Most coaches generally say 'hands off' anything inside the ten, the ball usually rolls to the endzone. This could have been a disaster and had us in a deep hole. fortunately, it wasn't the disaster that could have been.

Last year Zeke was in the hospital the week before the MSU game.
Of JT's 24 carries only around 16-18 were QB runs. Others were scrambles or options.
Weber fumbled on the MSU 10 yard line. Not as trusted.
On QB runs an additional very good blocker is gained or becomes a good decoy moving defenders. All are a HUGE part of Urban's offense. Fire Urban??

Weather limited offense, I think woulda put up more points. But Barrett shouldn't run that many times, gotta get Samuel in space. On to TTUN!

Its Ohio, you are going to have bad weather at some point. Not an excuse for Ohio/the Northwest.
JT is a very below average passer.

Mike Weber just became the 3rd player in the history of Ohio State to rush for 1,000 as a freshman joining Robert Smith and Maurice Clarett. Urban had to chew out that O Coordinator last year after the MSU game because he wasn't Coordinating properly Urban had to chew out that O Coordinator a couple weeks ago because he wasn't Coordinating properly I expect Urban to rip that O Coordinator a new one after this game too. 14 carries for Mike Weber and 24 for JT Barrett. Weber was averaging 8 ypc this game. In what world does an offense struggle when their stud RB is averaging 8 ypc? Oh, I know a world where the O Coordinator continuously gets chewed out by the HC after games because he's not coordinating properly. Expect a new O Coordinator next year.

Weber fumbled at the MSU 10 yard line at THE MOST critical point in the game. He didn't have 2 hands on the ball. When JT carries the ball in critical situations in critical games he ALWAYS has 2 hands on the ball. JT is MUCH more trusted than anyone on the team.
JT DID NOT have 24 QB run plays. Of the 24 times he carried the ball only 16-18 were TRUE QB runs. The others were scrambles or designed option plays, BOTH read option run plays AND read option pass/run plays. It was Urban's plan to run JT as often as he did. When asked at half time how many times he would run JT, his answer was, "As many times as needed to win the game". FIRE URBAN??? Become learned.
This game wouldn't have been close IF Weber had not fumbled. IF the WRs had caught passes. IF the defense had not given up so many big plays. IF the O-line had run blocked better. IF the O-line had pass blocked better. IF the O-line didn't have so many penalties. Do you know how many holding penalties the O-line had last year when Warriner was the O-line coach? TWO! This year over 25.
Who are you, Coach Warriner??? You wouldn't know who was "chewed" unless you were coach Warriner. Urban publicly took the blame for the Michigan State loss last year. Urban publicly took the blame for the Penn State loss. No worthy head coach would do otherwise. NO worthy head coach would tell the press who is getting "chewed" every week. You're making up shat. Become learned.
The MSU game WAS the first "playoff" game for Ohio State, all they had to do was win. IF OSU beats U of M by one point, their 2nd playoff game, Ohio State will be in the Four Team Playoff. AND will have 2 weeks to prepare compared to only one week for the other 3 teams. Once in the Four Team Playoff all you have to do is win by one point, like all other playoff games.

Barrett has good and bad. Great leader. Needs to be more accurate. Victor and Mack need a chance at wr. Next year grimes and Lindsey will be great for pass game if Barrett stays or for martell or Haskins. Another good RB coming in to go with McCall and Weber. Who expected osu to do this well as they are. A 2 loss season or better would be terrific. Because next year they'll be favored for the championship many analysts have said.

Those choosing to suggest Barrett is a poor passer, need to take a better look at his passing stats. I think (someone correct me if I am wrong) going into this game, his completion % was somewhere around 63%, an amazing feat, considering the current status of the receiver corp. Running the ball, he is as tough and reliable as any ball carrier on the team. The O-line can't be compared to last years unit, given the fact this years receivers not finding the open space or separation, putting additional burden of time needed to sustain blocks, amounts to more holding calls. I agree, the Buckeyes secure a final four slot with a win in Columbus, regardless of score.

I agree, the Buckeyes secure a final four slot with a win in Columbus, regardless of score. His completion percentage is rather misleading because he isn't accurate with downfield throws. Most his completion are easy swing passes and even that pop pass. For some reason when throwing deep he thinks the receiver has to be 5 yards open. Give your 4/5 star receivers chances on 50/50 balls.
