Looks like mid 40s and dry. We get an offense going Ohio st wins. Only thing need to do against is stop there back will be biggest problem. Should be close, I'll say 24-17 Ohio st.

If you ask Harbaugh he'll tell you it's a game time decision. If you ask a team Doctor he'll tell you he's done for the year.

Backup qb isn't no worse he was a starter before he transferred. But harbaugh trying to keep osu on there toes with who to expect.

My take is OSU is battle tested and UM not so much. Not having Speight is an enormous advantage for the OSU defense. He was playing well and there's a huge drop off to O'koren. Am also thinking the close win at Sparty might keep our egos in check this week in practice. Additionally Curtis Samuel will have Fresh Legs going in --ha !!

We all know his past history, but the O'Korn I saw vs. Indiana played with remarkable poise and confidence and was quite impressed with his quick feet and speed when he decided to tuck and run. I don't expect much of a fall-off with the backup QB against Ohio State.

This joke had me in tears this morning...
Q: What's the biggest lie told at Michigan? A: "I was just helping that sheep over the fence."
I am taunting the Michigan fans I work with, just to get them in this game again. I need them to be active just for the fun of the rivalry!

i think abc made a big mistake by putting ohio state-michigan at noon and florida-florida state at 8pm. it should be the other way around as #2 vs #3 should be at 8pm and florida- florida state should be at noon. the ratings could go through the roof for as michigan and michigan state fighting for a birth in the national championship series and more national attention than florida-florida state could.im sure the sponrsors would love to see this game in prime time.

It's been at noon last few years I don't understand either. It's a prime time style of game. A 12:00 start in the VAST majority of the games. Part of the tradition of the rivalry. Not ABC, one of the few battles they have lost concerning start times. Both OSU and U of M have vociferously fought for the 12:00 start. And for it to be that EVERY year.

So that means the game comes on at 9am on the West Coast. Breakfast battle of the Big Ten. Sports bars are going to take a hit.

They tried playing it at 8pm quite a few years ago, Not many liked it being that late. Then it was moved up to 3:30, They got less complaints. Noon kept the fans happiest, That's where it'll stay, For now. Read an article on the rivalry a while back.

Heard a stat about U of M's roster this year. 47 Seniors compared to Ohio State's 7 Seniors on scholarship. 3 of the 7 are a punter, place kicker and a long snapper. Of the other 4, 2 are oft injured WRs Corey Smith and Dontre Wilson, another is back up LB Craig Fada a former walk on. Leaving ONLY ONE Senior of note, Pat Elflein. That's just insane. This undoubtedly is U of M's best shot at beating Ohio State for the foreseeable future.

Hooker and Conley are projected first rounders and McMillian is projected a second. Samuel will have to decide as well, although I think he stays.

Add to that; The two best players and the leaders of this years Wolverine team are Jake Butt and Jabrill Peppers. Jake Butt is among the 47 Seniors and destined for big things in the NFL. Jabrill Peppers, a Junior, will undoubtedly opt for the NFL draft and big money of the NFL. This is indeed, Michigan's best shot at winning the rivalry game in the foreseeable future.

Agree with both posters. If Harbaugh doesn't pull out the win there will be a lot of disappointed and upset scUM fans. IMO biggest worry for the Bucks are the lines -- JT has no time to throw downfield against mediocre teams, much less than against a senior-laden defensive line like scum's and Bucks' defensive line has been inconsistent, at best. Also, just a hunch but Mr. Peppers will be a key factor offensively for scUM -- Harbaugh has kept him strangely hidden and somewhat quiet on the offensive side of the ball for the last three games. If OSU can keep its senior offensive lineman from false-starting three or four times like he did last week, that would help too. More than a little concerned about this one, think all the pressure is on Ohio State. Think the betting line should be the other way around!

In the past 15 years Ohio State has lost 18 Big Ten games. During the same time frame U of M has lost 12 games to Ohio State alone.

baldref, Can't say I disagree with your thoughts at all. As far as Peppers goes, think Harbaugh's not going to make the same mistake two years in a row. If you recall, he played Peppers both sides of the ball last year. By fourth quarter, he was rather non-existent. In my words from an earlier post....."his balls were dragging the turf, late in the game"......lol

A significant fact about the U of M defense, that could make Rambo very happy. The U of M defense has injured the starting QB in SIX of their games.
A little nugget from Peppers, who I think is an jack wagon. He was asked about Curtis Samuel. His answer, "I don't think he's been hit hard enough, often enough."

Some thoughts.
1. I don't think much of the OSU offensive line but especially so Prince. He's a turnstile at right tackle and he's going to be hard pressed to handle Charlton, Gary or Winovich. If Michigan win's this game it's going to be because the defensive line dominated.
2. As Willard mentioned, Michigan has knocked out the QB in six games so far this season. That doesn't bode well for Barrett if Urban run's him 20+ times.
3. I expect Speight to play Saturday. It's not a broken collarbone but is a sprain to the non throwing shoulder. How well he plays and how long he makes it is anyone's guess.

The Ohio State defense will be looking to knock Speight out of the game. If I were Speight's parents I'd be ready to sue.
